As much as I loved Planetary, screw it and the special editions. Ellis, finish off your other contracted work, for the gods' sake! Do not give up on a project because you "lost your notes when your hard drive died." They make flash drives and external HDs for a reason. Be a professional. If you're sick again, make an announcement and explain yourself. But don't punt Fell, Anna Mercury, newuniversal and others and instead put out six issues of Supergod because it's easy and fun and what's on your mind.

Grow a pair and man up. This is your job.

Just the other day, I was hoping that someone at Marvel would do this… Apparently, Jonathan Hickman is bringing Marvel’s New Universe back in his Avengers run.
Rich Johnston gathers the evidence so far, which includes this repeat of very familiar imagery:

In the eighties Jim Shooter tried to spearhead a brand new superhero continuity at Marvel Comics, the New Universe, featuring the likes of John Romita Jr, Peter David, Tom DeFalco, Fabian Nicieza, Paul Ryan, Fabian Nicieza, Mark Gruenwald, John Byrne, and many more. DP7 was my favourite by far, an X-Men-alike series, told in real time with powered up people with uniquely exhibited powers trying to band together against the world.

An attempt to bring the New Universe back with Warren Ellis as New Universal died on the vine a bit.

But now Sam Humphries, who wrote with Jonathan Hickman on Ultimates (part of Marvel’s current brand new superhero continuity) has posted;
