An Open Letter to Leckomaniac

Postby burlivesleftnut on Mon Sep 22, 2008 9:40 pm

Lecko, I realize I am the moderator for this forum, but time doesn't always permit me to keep the comic forum alive the way you have. Please come back with your updates, reviews and weekly pull lists. Your input is sincerely missed by many. We often don't express our appreciation of our awesome zoners in a timely manner, but I hope this love note might make up for my neglect. You are ESSENTIAL to the comics forum, and I implore you to return.

Your Servant in Christ,

BurlIvesLeftNut.

And with that, I am on a mission.

After I get whatever is in my eye out (I promise I am not crying) I will, with renewed vigor, post in my beloved comic book forum.

Many props are due, as well, to The Butcher for his crazy amount of links.

Hurrah! I too must salute Lecko's work in Comics, even though my reading habits don't lead me to participate much in the forum. (I'm delving into PREACHER now though! It's pretty damn good!)

For an olde farte, well out of the comic loop for decades, Lecko's comic updates are indispensable for sorting out the wheat from the chaff. That chaff stuff tastes like ass.
The Zone needs more Lecko on general principle, let alone in the Comics Section.

You know, I just remembered that funnily enough I had the classic New Comic Wednesday thread on my mind as I left my house this morning. I've thought about it a few times lately since I've started reading PREACHER, just pondering the massive amount of comics that Lecko and burl read every week. And I remembered a certain week where Lecko hadn't posted his pull list and burl had noticed. These thoughts occurred to me only a half-hour after this thread was started, and probably at the exact moment Lecko read burl's first post. I must have detected it through the astral plane that interconnects the spirits of all Zoners, that will someday save me from a dangerous fall into an abandoned mineshaft as my thoughts of rescue greet each of you like an agitated Lassie, and God willing, one of you, somewhere, without understanding quite why, will pick up the phone and have the RCMP comb the Kananaskis backwoods in search of young Raul.

I haven't been buying comics on a regular basis for about two years. I'm getting my fix through this forum (and the links therein).

So, if I've not said so lately, thanks for the updates!
