I must say, it wasn't too shabby, though for those who're curious, most of the footage is just about how the relationship between Anne Darrow and King Kong starts to build up... there's actually very little dialogue or action.

yeah pretty boring 4 minutes, I think that's the only 4 minutes of Kong in the movie where nothing interesting is happening.

Cool, but boring.

Looked good - I'm starting to think that the relationship between Ann and Kong will come off ok - to me, if they get that right, the film will be good

- we know the CGI is good enough, we know the action will be fantastic. But I still need to see more, to say whether it's a good movie or not.

Well Phillipa Boyens said you might as well give up having friends when you see how great the friendship is between Anne and Kong.

I wasn't too impressed with the shot of Kong walking from a distance. The backgrounds are a bit pastelly for my liking as well. I hope New York is the killer location - looks like it will be.

More Kong Goodness!

The latest offering from kongisking.net is an interview with Naomi Watts on the 'Jay Leno Show'. After the interview they showed the battle between Kong and the Rex's (Spoilers ahead)

The battle shown seemed to follow the footage we have seen in the trailer. As we see Kong fall into a ravine with the Rex's and Ann, he begins to deliver some serious damage to the dinosaurs at one point he even used a boulder as his weapon of choice. We also see Kong throw around a few Rex's and you can all rest soundly, one of them is killed using the "classic" Kong finishing move.

Right Click and Save As! (69.3MB) But really....just click it.

some wehre in the first hour of this flick when they are plodding thru the jungle they will come upon a giant steaming pile of ship from a dinosuar/kong, and Jack Black will make some 'witty' comment.

Is it possible for CGI characters to be nominated for an Oscar? Kong owned Naomi in that scene.

They posted this at KongisKing: Kong Kicks Ass. Pretty funny.

And did anyone else see that TV spot during Lost last night? That overhead sweep of Kong on the Empire State Building... WOW.

Kong will break wind near a couple in NYC, the woman will catch a whiff, blame the bloke and storm off in disgust as he protests.

I seriously hope you are both wrong. But put me down for 5 bucks too, just to sweeten the pill if it happens. Who knows what advice Lucas gave Jackson when he invited him to the Ranch....

You can see the scene now:

Lucas: Wow, you actually talk to your actors?

Lucas: So I see your using a lot of green screen.
Jackson: No, that's just the forest George..

Lucas: I see you have a few romance scenes, in this movie, you know if you want i could..
Jackson: NNNNOOOOOOOOooooooooooo....

Lucas probably suggested that Kong have a younger, smaller sibling that could do the slapstick to entertain the kiddies.

I saw the bit where Kong on the ESB grabs a bi plane and swings it round and around like he's spinning and throwing one of those hammers on a rope, in the Olympics.

It looked Utter Shite. Let's hope this film doesn't have other stuff like that in it.

WTF. Are you being serious? Because I was reading the Village Voice this morning and I thought this was a joke:

more kong tv spots at the official site, TV SPOTS

The one titled 'Alone' is sad. I thought so. The music along with seeing Kong crawl on the ground sent shivers down my back and a wave of sadness through me....... or maybe I'm just a wimp. :)
