Atom Egoyan Vs. MPAA

All the dirt. All the top secret stuff. Anything that has to do with the process of getting us to sit and watch something projected on the big screen.

Atom Egoyan Vs. MPAA

Is the naked Truth too hot for censors?

Another benefit to living on the border, provided the film actually plays at the Canadian theater near me. As long as I don't get any Bacon spatter on me.

"I just heard the deciding factor could be thrusting. Apparently, anything over three thrusts and you're in trouble. Well, nobody told me. . . ."

yeah, 'cuz when the guys and gals at the M.P.A.A. fuck (oh, wait they're too classy for that...they make love) there is no thrusting involved!

I love my FUCK THE M.P.A.A t-shirt! It gets more appropriate every single day.

All this controversy, over what is sure to be another mediocre film from one of Canada's most mediocre directors.

OUCH!!! No love for "The Sweet Hereafter" and "Exotica"?

I'm not saying all the films he makes are on par with those two, but I LOVED both of those.

Ian Holm and Sarah Polley were amazing in Hereafter, as was Elias Koteas in Exotica.

Why the mediocrity tag Blue?

The adjuster, Exotica and Sweet Hereafter are all "fine" movies.

I just think his stuff is bland...bleak...humorless...

trust me, i've seen all his films, i'm patriotic as shit, but i just don't think he's that great. He rushes his films through production. This film that's coming out- I read the script, it wasn't ready to shoot.

Canadian films tend to be bleak, that's fine, but they don't have to take themselves so seriously.

KC, find a film called, "Last Night" if you want to see a Canadian film that I think is great.

It's bleak, but so fucking bleak that you'll laugh.

Seen it BB. And it is a very good film.

Now, if you can get me any copies of "Twitch City"...

The Dino, he says "PUH-LEEZ!" Alla this, it's just a his way of a generating a the buzz so the peoples, they go see a the movie, eh?

"I dinna know it would a be a the problem." "The sex, she MUST a be inna the film! It's a the integral part of a the movie! It canna be just a three thrusts! It's a gotta be four, no five, no wait... FOURTEEN thrusts! That's right! I gotta the FOURTEEN thrusts inna the movie, anna oh anna by the way, did I mention that a Kev anna Col, they show their winkies? Anna I got lesbians inna there too!"

Maybe I should have made the headline say, "The Girl From The Clueless TV Show Gets Really, Really Naked!"

See, now I'm interested.

Edit: Holy shit, just as I posted that "Dirty Man" started playing on my iTunes.

Somehow, hearing Joss Stone call me a dirty, dirty man just feels... mmm... so right.
