I like the possibility of Billy Zane being actually bitten by a post apocalyptic baseball player, the resulting effect being Billy waking up with the ability to chew tobacco, have a moustache and to grow mullets... With great 'power hair' comes great responsibility...

(although i may be basing my knowledge of the sport of entirely on what i saw at the end of the first Naked gun film...)

Are you seriously comparing a Kevin Costner movie to an Oleg movie? That's like comparing Ian McKellen to that Corky off of "Life Goes On"

The name certainly says something about the film....that's for sure.

I can see them pitching that to the studio...

"So... what we're doing is ripping off everything from Moulin Rouge, only we're making everything EMO. Because that's what the kids are into these days."

God, when I picture Hell, and an eternity of damnation, it's looks something like that.

On the plus side, at least Paul Sorvino's still alive. Good for him.

They played the trailer when I saw WALL•E too, unfortunately, nothing was on the screen during the first 3 trailers, so all we had was audio and a very confused audience. I also missed the trailers to Pink Panther 2 and some other movie I can't remember.

Just thought I would pass along this trailer for the new Luke Wilson movie Henry Poole Is Here. It's about a guy who abandons his fiancée and family business to spend what he believes are his remaining days alone. The discovery of a "miracle" by a nosy neighbor ruptures his solitude and restores his faith in life. It hits theaters on August 15th, and looks like it should be a pretty interesting dramedy.

Yup. I'm sold on all three.

So maybe Grindhouse did more good than harm after all. At the very least, it prompted other players to say, "Naw, man, that ain't how ya do a grindhouse picture. This is how ya do it."

If these movies can even come close to the tone of Italian Spiderman, I'm gonna have a blast with 'em.

Wow, that animation is impressive, but what's up with this "Iron Boy" concept? It seems so unneccesary, epecially on the heels of the live-action movie.

Really? I thought that animation was really pretty bad! I mean, given the massive success of the movie, I would hope for something more than that. Shit, I'd rather see a true animation that that 3D digital look (not sure if that made sense  ).

And regarding the teenage Tony Stark... didn't they do that with that Batman in-the-future TV show?

Yeah, kind of, except that they introduced the Terry McGuinness character to take over for the retired Bruce Wayne. It's not quite the same thing.

I've always thought Batman Beyond to be rather unnecessary, too. It seemed like a missed opportunity to use all new characters. Why did it have to be Batman?

They could've made the same show using the basic templates of "Retired Super Hero" and "Headstrong Young Replacement." Well, either that, or another Tom Cruise movie.

Agreed. I think I'll pass on this new Iron Man adventure, but Batman Beyond was a cool little show. It certainly could have been worse (i.e. geared towards the kiddies).

There used to be a time when I would wake up and after my normal morning efforts to avoid actually working until at least the 2nd hour of my Scheduled day I would surf the web. In this time I would often find movie trailers and even to this day my 1st thought when I see a kick ass new trailer is; Get To The Zone or Post it in the Zone! Unfortunately it seems the last 25-30 times I've done this - I come here and someone has already posted the damn trailer.

Hey Jim Carrey has a new comed ... what oh someone already posted it, ah crap! Alright well there was this cool alien vs viking movie comin.. whats that? oh everyone already knows, OK great. Oh I know: Dr Horrible's sing along blog, believe it of not its the new Josh Whedon ... oh you've already heard about it, a couple weeks ago, you don't say. yeah that is just fantastic.....

Well not TODAY - Today is MY DAY, I'm taking it back ... I'm taking them all back. Good luck beating me to the punch today evil movie trailer monkeys! For today I am a leaf on the wind - watch how I soar!

Based on this. Very loosely I should imagine having read the book!

An interesting story for the basis, it'll be interesting to see what they did to it.

Edit: Having seen the advert, they did nothing with it apart from the name, and the very, very kernel of the basis of the book.

Oh well.

forfuxxake how many movies does Tarantino have coming out next year?

Curiosity caused me to look up the director and what he's done in the past - his history of 12 Baywatch episodes & several Zena Warrior Princess episodes explains a lot. Cool find though!
