The DUNE Movie Thread (no... a new one...)

All the dirt. All the top secret stuff. Anything that has to do with the process of getting us to sit and watch something projected on the big screen.

They'd have to call it Dune: Beefcake Unchained if they did that.

after his last two movies being as fantastic as they are I have faith that Villanueva will make a film worth watching that will do more than just provide some splosions and eye candy

Here's a summary of those cast and their roles:

The cast of the new Dune films continues to grow with Timothee Chalamet cast as Paul Atreides, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Stellan Skarsgard as Baron Harkonnen, David Dastmalchian is Harkonnen’s advisor Piter De Vries, and Charlotte Rampling as Reverend Mother Mohiam. Also onboard is Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho, Dave Bautista is Glossu 'Beast' Rabban, Josh Brolin as Warmaster and mentor Gurney Halleck, Oscar Isaac as Duke Leto Atreides (Pauls Father), Javier Bardem as the Fremen leader Stilgar, Chang Chen as Dr. Wellington Yueh, and Zendaya as Chani (Pauls sweetheart).

Still a few key roles not listed on here.

Also, Hans Zimmer will do the score.

I can't fucking wait for this.

Ugh. It's always Hans Zimmer. In this age of Zimmer worship I feel like Zoroastrians must feel in Iran. And yes, Oscar Isaac should have been Duncan.

Personally I find Zimmer to be underrated. Meaning that I personally underrate him, from time to time I forget how good he actually is and than I sound like Judderman.

As a remedy I listen to the finale on the Lone Ranger soundtrack, that usually sets my mind straight
Note to myself: Fix this image shit!
