They should just create a character named MacGuffin...and then have Indy searching for him the entire film...when he finally finds him, he realizes it was all just a typo...and he really wanted a guy named MacGruber...

Indy goes to McDonald's in search of breakfast. Not much of a script, but Spielberg will make sure there are lots of stunts.

Maybe Lucas could beef it up a little by adding a subplot that doesn't ultimately go anywhere involving Indy's search for Red Herrings?

The story could kick off with a group of missionaries hiring Indy to take them into Burma.

Did Jar Jar get his own franchise?

I'd rather see that Ryan Reynolds/Jessica Biel Blade movie than Mutt Jones and the Catacombs of Mars. Of all people, one would think George Lucas would see the value in finding and exploiting new genre content in film.

George Lucas said the following to Fox News back in Cannes:

“I haven’t even told Steven or Harrison this, but I have an idea to make Shia the lead character next time and have Harrison come back like Sean Connery did in the last movie. I can see it working out."

From MTV: ‘Indiana Jones 5’ Won’t Center on Shia LaBeouf, Insists George Lucas
Asked whether he still considered Mutt Williams a strong enough character to drive an “Indiana Jones” film, Lucas was adamant that Indy just isn’t Indy without Indy. Or, to put it another way: No.

“Indiana Jones is Indiana Jones. Harrison Ford IS Indiana Jones,” Lucas said, dismissively adding about a character he helped create that, “If it was Mutt Williams it would be ‘Mutt Williams and the Search for Elvis’ or something.”

It’s unclear what changed Lucas’s mind about the character, or whether he would necessarily return at all – even in a sidekick capacity. That said, “The Search for Elvis” is hilarious.

Of course, talk of an eventual “Indiana Jones V” is something of a giant hypothetical anyway, even as Lucas continued to stroke the fire of anticipation at his Big Rock Ranch near San Francisco, insisting that work IS being done to find a suitable object for another installment.

“We ARE looking for something for him to go after,” Lucas said. “They are very hard to find. It’s like archeology. It takes a huge amount of research to come up with something that will fit.”

It's probably already available in your local Dumbledore porn store. But they likely changed the name to Indiana Bones or something like that. Or Indiana Cojones. Whatever. Still, it probably still stars Harrison Ford, so you can't go wrong!

From MTV: ‘Indiana Jones 5’? ‘Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull’ Screenwriter On The Chance For Another Sequel
When MTV News caught up with “Crystal Skull” scribe David Koepp recently, the screenwriter was certainly open to the idea of “Indy 5.”

I honestly think they should do it. With Indy as the lead and Marion as the sidekick. The married adventures of archaeologists or something. have Mutt as a cameo at the beginning or something and then he leaves for some adventure of his own (that we never actually see).

Just a ton of great chemistry between Ford and Marion, and I'm there.

The Beef show, not so much.

I like it.

They send LeBarf to Uni to do Archeology, that's about 7 years so Indy and Marion can go round the world.

Amen to all of that.

I think the Nazi's should take a different turn though, maybe more Wolfenstein. The Nazi's are working on occult projects, at least that would tie in nicely with the other film about faith.
