New trailer!

This book hit me square in the nostalgic nuts. It wasn't Shakespeare, but it didn't need to be, either. I hope the movie hits all the same feelings.

I quite enjoyed the book. That trailer doesn't especially represent what I had in my mind though - I just kept thinking about Tron Legacy instead while watching it.

It should be decent enough, given Spielberg's making it, but I suspect it has the opportunity to fall flat on its face with a lot of people.

I read the book, enjoyed it quite a bit. You'll be especially giddy with all the pop culture references if you grew up in the 80s.

I think the trailer looks amazing. I'm not sure if I pictured the VR worlds looking the way they do in the film but they nailed the trailer stacked homes.

Do you think they'll also make a movie out of Armada or will that be too Last Starfighter-y?

I'd rather see an update/sequel to The Last Starfighter. I just didn't care for Armada that much. It wasn't really that entertaining for me in hindsight.

The Last Starfighter, especially with internet-based gaming, just seems to be a more and more timely story to tell.
