Thanks for running them together John-Locke.......I am not up to speed on the DVD, anyone know what the other deleted scenes are going to be?...........please do not let it be Yoda 'dressing up' on Kashykk, my eyes were bleeding when I came out of the cinema the first time I saw ROTS ........I can take no more visual raping......The Dagobah scene looks very cool though.......

I don't think they're putting anythign back into the film, just showing them as deleted scenes. I'd like to see him add back the stuff with Padme forming the Rebellion, as he did add in a few completely unnecessary things to Episode I.

But she didn't form the Rebellion. She just sat there while Bail Organa and Mon Mothma were all 'WE ARE START THIS CLAN!' and Padme was all 'OH NOE'S!!!!!!' "I don't want to hear anymore!"

Well at least he didnt get much of a part in the film, maybe one mumbled/incoherent line.

and its a pity Mr Lucas had to Direct it really, or that Gary Kurtz wasnt still producing them

Lucas actually had improved considerably in terms of directing the actors I thought.

As for Padme not wanting to be too 'hasty' and form the rebellion and rather wait to see how things happen, this just makes her character a bit more useless rather than a heroine.

Not only did she not see the future and act properly on it, but she would have saved many lives including her own maybe, and might have been able to prevent a lot of the Empire's carnage and end it quicker.

It makes me wonder even more that she is indeed the mother of Leia. I'm doubting Padme's strength.

Dagobah scene? I can take it or leave it. It ain't necessary. Give me more Anakin Obi Wan character building scenes and more action.

'Scuse me if my facts are wrong, but what about the Anakin Obi Wan fight scene that apparently Steven Spielberg came in to direct, where Anakin is chucking lava at Obi Wan, and Obi Wan is deflecting it, both using their Force powers?

Check it out, it's in The Making of The Revenge of the Sith book.

Yeah Captain!
The Art of ROTS has the lava battle storyboards, as far as I know Speiberg storyboarded the obi wan/grevious chase aswell, from a pool side lounger on holiday!..............like the look of both the other deleted scenes especially the fuel room sequence, this looked great in the book and I was looking forward to it on film....oh well you can't have everything you want can you?

Too true! And even more so, it's a shame he wrote the damn thing, rather than Kasdan

Cpt Kirks 2pay wrote:Lucas actually had improved considerably in terms of directing the actors I thought.

Not sure about that - I think he just realised he had to delegate more, like he did in the old days. Lucas was never a bad director in terms of mise-en-scene, editing and action. Writing dialogue and getting performances from actors are the things which he can't do to save his life. ROTS was a lot better though, because he had help from Stoppard on the script, and got the actors a dialogue coach to help them deliver his crappy stilted dialogue. Obviously, he didn't delegate as much as he did in the old 80s, hence ROTS was better than the other two prequels, but not as good as the best elements of the OT

I was excited to watch the new Star Wars Film, and have to admit i did enjoy it at the time.

However after watching it again, It really doesnt offer much replayability value.

In fact I would go as far as to say I find it rather boring.

Didn't get the one with the Smokey Thingie burn through Shaak Ti's trachea, but when I finally got it Harry had enough of me making him put shit on the server, so that'll be a special treat for those who can actually click through.

Thanks for the help, guys... and Kirk... that "KIRK IS ANGRY!!!!" thing had me cracking up... That avatar can make your head explode if you watch it long enough... I'm convinced!

Your so right Pacino pal. Well noticed.

And after you were in here doing all the work too Quint. I can only apologise. And you called me squirt and everything. What can I say. Maybe it doesn't have the impact on me, like it did in the begining, all those moons ago. When it was all so fresh and new, and I couldn't catch my breath. Sigh. But these things fade... like autumn to winter...

Bahh who am I kidding. I didn't check the facts!

Now where did I put that flapjack...

It always cracks me up that there are some talkbackers who don't EVER pay attention to who wrote the article. It seems they read a few lines then jump down to talkback to slam Harry over and over. Fucking douches. Not you flumm, although you are a fucking douche--just in a totally acceptable, endearing way.

You are right totally right - who writes what article, should be of prime importance, especially when douches like me feel the need to post about it. And even more so, when so much of what's gone up lately, seems to have come from Quint himself.

Wow! just came on and seen my ickle site has been put on the AICN front page! argh!

Trust this to happen now, when f'ing Lycos hosting, decide that they need to "improve" their service and update all their databases!

I've said it once and i'll say it again - the moral of this story, dont host your website with Lycos.

Suprised this got noticed at all (the deleted scenes) since they've been on the usual STARWARS forums everywhere, cool though!

Yea, but isn't that enough to raise some suspicion?

No one has asked about what it is in the talkback as of yet, but still, it fuels that conspiracy theory what's his name was preaching about recently.

Sorry to go off-topic.

Well man, I just came home from my 4th viewing of the film, and have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it, and was close to saying I was completely satisfied with it, whereas the 3rd time I was a bit bored.

I'm gonna settle with my 4th view verdict. Maybe I've been nitpicking or overcritical on before on this film, I think when people form an opinion on the SW prequels they do so with a microscope faaaaaar more than they would other films, where they're less fussy over every little detail.

I did find the ending tragic and rather sad, though this could have been played up more, the beginning battle too short and not involing enough, and I still wonder if even in the angriest of his scenes, Anakin was supposed to be more monstrous and darker, or whether it's Hayden being too lightweight. Still, ROTS rules!!!
