I heard that they're releasing a version that you don't have to buy on Lynch's website. Any details?

It looks like it's available January 6, 2006, according to 34158677/sr=8-3/ref=pd_bbs_3/102-7537639-8360939?n =507846&s=dvd&v=glance

Looks a lot cheaper but I don't know if it has the extras the version has. (it certainly doesn't look to have the same packaging)

from Davis DVD

"Eraserhead - Indie distributor Subversive Cinema has made a deal with filmmaker David Lynch to release specially priced Amaray case editions of Eraserhead and The Short Films of David Lynch to retail beginning on January 10th. The DVDs will mirror the previously available boxed editions, currently available on, however they will not contain the special packagings or booklets. Eraserhead will contain the new transfer supervised by Lynch and will also include the ninety-minute featurette and trailers. Retail price is $29.95 each."

You see parts of this movie in every other Lynch film. I'm very glad I waited.
