I bought the bluray of DEMONS and watched it. This new bluray represents a different cut than the one I watched many times on VHS back in the 1990s. It actually renders a lot of the observations that I made when I wrote about it here in The Zone outdated. This cut actually includes lots of brief additions that explain things such as the fate of several characters, the nature of the demon plague, and how and why the characters go from one location to another. The high definition also makes some things clearer. One area of confusion for me was that I thought a character named Hanna got killed like three different times during the movie. This cut inlcudes some extra footage to show that one part when they throw a demon on her from a story up, the demon actually lands on a chair that keeps it from landing on her. Another part, the high definition makes it clear that it's actually another character getting eaten by demons played by an actress who looks a lot like the actress who plays Hanna.

It's given me a whole new appreciation for this movie.

Avengers Infinity War 4k
Harry Potter Collection 4k
Solo 4k

I don't have a 4k player, TV, or projector, but I'll be damned if I'm going to buy a second copy when I do. Plus, these all come with standard Blu-Rays and digital downloads.

I am in that very same boat. My current set still has quite a bit of life in it so I'm in no rush to replace it. When I do I have already made sure I have Blade Runner 2049 ready to go in 4K because it would be irresponsible not to. I also have The Force Awakens and Solo in 4K.

Yeah, this is a pretty sweet deal (still ongoing, I think). I picked up the "Trilogia" boxset of Spanish-language Guillermo del Toro movies for 40 bucks.

even at the 50% off prices I could spend thousands building my own dream Criterion collection . I was really bummed that I couldn't find "Le Samurai" the day I was there, about an hour and a half from where I live, it is my favorite French b&w film.

I had a little extra $ last month from photography work that finally came to fruition and I went on something of a dvd/Blu-ray buying spree.....

Chumscrubber
Sympathy For Mr Vengeance
Lady Vengeance
Battle Royale
Box of Moonlight
Cool Hand Luke
A Big Hand For a Little Lady
Better Off Dead
Muppet Treasure Island
The Muppet Show: Season One

looks worse than it costs, really. most I got for about $10.
