Transformers has sold over 190,000 HD DVDs in its first week making it the fastest and best-selling week one release on either high definition format as well as the best selling HD DVD ever.

This movie is tailor-made for the HD-DVD crowd. I can only assume that everyone who has shelled out the bucks for those pricey HD players have been waiting for a movie that would showcase the kick-ass-itude of their systems...

I bet you every Entertainment store selling big TVs and stereos etc will be playing this movie ad nausuem!

And then The Matrix came. If I recall properly, there were even bundle packages where when you purchased your DVD player it gave you a copy of The Matrix.

They should do that with TRANSFORMERS.

Some TV DVDs coming out-

Weird Science seasons 1 & 2 (January)
The Riches season 1 (January)
Perfect Strangers the first and second seasons (February)
Newheart: The first season (March)

Dammit, would it kill Paramount to try to get moving on seasons of "The Love Boat"?!

I've got both the three-disc Bourne trilogy set and Lost:S3 on my Xmas list. Can't wait.

stereosforgeeks wrote:What bay has to say about the Transformers DVD

From that article -

"Also covered in the filmmaking extras are Bay's dealings with the military, toy company Hasbro and General Motors, which supplied many of the vehicles. An Easter egg on the DVD is a "Bay Bot," a Transformer robot with Bay's face. "(Hasbro) made that for me, but I didn't know it was going to be on the DVD," Bay says."

Anyone know where that egg is? This I gotta see.

Well, it's coming out on DVD!

I completely missed seeing Enchanted when it was out in theaters so I'm really looking forward to the dvd (blu-ray?) release in March.

I did just recently picked up The Riches first season boxset today and I'll probably watch that over the week.

REGION 1 "MIGHTY BOOSH"? OH HELLS YES.

(From the Boosh's MySpace)

Also we finally convinced our distributor to release the dvds over there. So that should be happening soon too.

Oh God yes. Finally, since BBC were douchebags about YouTube, we yanks can finally see these wacky, wacky episodes. More news as this develops.

(BTW, they're also planning to play in the US next year. And yes, I am totally going to go if they play Chicago. :D )
