Strangers With Candy The Complete Series

Postby Insector on Fri Jun 09, 2006 5:13 pm

"As Strangers With Candy the film hits cinemas this month Comedy Central celebrates the complete series on DVD, hitting stores June 27 , laugh, cry, and wince with all three seasons of this cult classic that includes 30 episodes, with tons of brand-new special features in a six-disc collector's set. Starring Amy Sedaris ("Sexy and The City" & "Elf") and Stephen Colbert ("The Daily Show" & "The Colbert Report"), every beautiful, bewildering moment in 46-year-old former "user, loser, and boozer" Jerri Blank's high school existence is here for you to watch over and over again. Revel in such events as the time Jerri grew a beard, her secret affair with the school jock, her hit-and-run incident, and all the various friends (and diseases) she picks up along the way!"

the packaging looks really cool. it has the same look as that freaks and geeks yearbook special edition dvd.

Nothing like that sweet sweet chlorophyll tang.
Elitism is positing that your taste is equivalent to quality, you hate "Hamlet" does it make it "bad"? If you think so, you're one elite motherfucker.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to the movie; that show was totally
hilarious. For my money, Colbert is pretty much the funniest guy around
these days; the way he pwnt Dubya at that Roast was like having an
extended orgasm... laughgasm??? Seriously, I'm surprised he wasn't
disappeared into one of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales' black bags
for that; he really tore him apart...

Any word when the movie 'sposed to come out?

It may be spam, it may be news...
but "Stranger's with Candy" was some of the funniest/craziest shit on cable at it's time.

Right up there with "Upright Citizens Brigade" which you can find here! (spam)

So, you know how the Jerri Blank character is based on a real person, right? Florrie Fisher, who made schoolkids laugh at her whacked-out exploits in "Scared Straight"-type public service seminars.

Well, BEHOLD THE GLORY, dear childroon. Note the lit Smokey Thingie in her hand as she preaches about the evils of drugs.

There's this one too, but it's not quite as intense. Fifty bucks says the smart-ass girl in the orange top went out to the parking lot and got high immediately after this assembly.
