DVDs and music videos. What's missing

Postby SilentBobX on Sun Jun 11, 2006 9:13 am

This is a trend I've noticed, and someone mentioned 'loving'(ok it was Adam Balm), the Bon Jovi music from Young Guns 2 and it reminds me of a little pet peeve I've had with alot of movies from days past. Used to be, there were alot of music video tie-ins to movies, but for reasons of 'rights'(lame copout, imho), they're not included on the dvd releases of these movies. List your favorites, and especially the ones I miss. With any luck, we'll see them whenever Laserdisc2K6.......err, I mean HD DVD re-re-re-releases them. Anyway, here's my list, however brief:

Young Guns 2: Blaze of Glory by Bon Jovi
Last Action Hero: Big Gun by AC/DC
Freejack: Hit Between The Eyes by The Scorpions

And finally. Does anyone know the name of the music video that Guns and Roses did for T2. I specifically remember one that had Ahnuld in a cameo as the Terminator, looking at GNR, and analyzing them as a 'waste of ammunition'. I think it was You Could Be Mine or Get In The Ring.

Gunz and Roses - You Could Be Mine

That was the T2 one.

I personally love the Duel of the Fates Music video with the usual intercutting of a badass trailer and John Williams composing. It was one of the things that got me the most hyped up about TPM, it was a good feeling

Against All Odds

from the film of the same name.

Should have won the Oscar for Best Song.

The Phil Collins video wasn't too bad either.
