=====================
Okay, I can say this now... I never liked the original Apocolypse Now. It always felt bumpy & incomplete to me. It was genius & I respected it, but it never sang. When I saw a 35mm print of the REDUX, I felt like I saw the whole puzzle pieced together. It's still flawed, like how the French Plantation scene seems to go on forever and not fit at all, but in a wierd way, it connected the pieces of the puzzle for me.
Now, a version on DVD with EXTRAS! at long last, EXTRAS!
Anyone else jazzed?
Francis needs to do more extras. I dug the GODFATHER stuff and hope more of his movies come out like this.
Normally, I won't shill, but freakin $14.99 is dirt cheap for a 2 disc set like this (double dipping, although I abstained from purchasing any disc with no extras).
