Does anyone other than me alter their Netflix queue or movie rental preferences to correspond to the time of the year?

September and October is scary movie time for us. Every movie rented via Netflix is a scary movie. My wife and I both enjoy it though she keeps wanting to sleep with the lights on.

I always have a horror marathon over Halloween time. I'm thinking of going for it all over Nomeber this time. Its usually a few horrors building to a weekend of horror madness! :-)

My Netflix queue doesn't reflect it, but come October we always haul out all the scary or Gothic movies we own. So it's usually a month of Tim Burton, vampires--and of course, they'll usually subject me to "Signs" so that I spend a whole night awake.

We don't own any slasher horror, no one in my family is a very big fan of it. I'll watch if it comes on television though.

No, Nightmare Before Christmas 3D. There are alot of movies with the word Nightmare in it.

wow. I cant belive so many of you use netfix (although it isnt too suprising. My friend works for blockbuster. The company is closing a shit load of their stores, my friends included. My friend and his coworkers hate the place and just tell everyone to use net flixs)

I personally dont care for the system.

But i do have my usual line up of movies.

Starting in OCT. I watch Nightmare before Christmas

Dawn of the Dead, Monster Squad, The Shinning, Freddy vs Jason, Hellboy, 28 days later, Q the winged serpent, and Nightbreed.

Then what ever else i get my hands on to fill the gaps.

September/October are prime horror months for me, although I seldom need a reason. And for some reason, as bad and commercial interrupted as it is these days, I'll live by AMC's Monsterfest the week before Halloween.

I noticed Brit terrestrial TV was getting a bit lazy with its Halloween broadcasts before I left. 8 years ago they'd do some kind of theme night , and throw in a late night "The Fog" and perhaps another channel might show "Halloween". Pretty poor show, but, at least the movies were good....

Ha! Well, they do put witches and cauldron things up in Pizza hut... DVD's are so cheap here that I never worry anymore about someone making my tv planning. In fact, I rarely even put on the TV, will try and check out their horror tho this year. But, this is the country where the kids only finish their homework at 11pm, hence kids movies being on after 11pm not horror.

I NEVER watch TV, well hardly ever! Espcially for films! I was hoping that would change with the start of Film Four for free, but it hasn't happened so car.
