not quite a mop, not quite a puppet...

so, to answer your question, I don't know.
Personally, I'm an atheist in the voting booth and a theist in the movie theatre. I separate the morality of religion with the spirituality and solace of it. There is something boring about atheism.

The first season was okay, but only one or two of the episodes were hosted by anyone worth noting. Vincent Price and Andy Williams, the later being a Muppet himself.

The rest are all Ethel Merman, type D personalities.

C'mon, man, Peter Ustinov! Jim Nabors! Paul Williams! Ben Vereen! Twiggy! Harvey Korman! There were tons of great guests in Season 1.

Thank the Henson!

Season one was good because, well, it had awesome Muppets and Henson and his crew of irreverent puppeteers were on the bleeding edge; no one had ever done a prime-time puppet show before, and by filming and first airing the program in the UK< he was able to build buzz before it landed on American airwaves.

The crappy thing about season one is the guest hosts; the only really good ones are Vincent Price and Mumenchantz. Everyone else was Ethel Merman class, dried up has-been. Oh yeah, they had the mom from the Brady Bunch, she was okay.

Season two is where it started to become hip to be host of the Muppet show; celebs were clamoring to get on by season three - this is when you get stuff like Mark Hamil fighting Gonzo, and Alice Cooper doing 'Schools Out', and Elton John, etc,.

I want this now.
