Fuck yeah, seconded. That film never gets old for me. It's just such an amazing depiction of life at sea during that period... and the relationships are beautifully handled. The sound design is phenomenal... I mean crazy-good... when I saw it in the cinema, that quiet opening blew me away before the first shot was fired. I FELT as if I was with them in the ship, creaking away around me... absolutely one of the finest films I've ever seen.

Yeah, I'm a dork.

I really believe it's one of the most complex, dense and dark movies made after the 1970's.

PPPHHHHAHAHAHAHA!! Nah, I'm just joshin' ya. I voted Talladega Nights. The unrated DVD is even funnier!

I live in the Houston area. We don't have birds. Or children. Or running water.

They don't fucking want it. Why do you think they put it in Texas?

Master and Commander is terrific. If he hates it, it's because he's so damn jealous that he can never make a movie that good. He made the dumb version of Kong, after all.
I love Dino, and IPAMPILASH at almost every post he makes, but a the goodamn putz doesn't a know the good movie when he a sees it, no?
