What Should I Watch Today?

I'm off today from work, all studly and happy. I got Tombstone Pizzas waiting and 2 2-liter bottles of Dr. Pepper. Some of these films I've seen multiple times, some just once, and one (VIRGINS FROM HELL) that I've never seen and will likely get play. It's gonna be a good day. So what should I watch?

Edit to say I also have A FISH CALLED WANDA 2-Disc but it wouldn't let me add it to the poll for some reason.

Miller's Crossing - if that list was a pile on the floor and you told me I could watch one, I would have grabbed it - seen it before, many times, but I'm Dumbledore for the Coen brothers.

MILLER'S CROSSING - not the best Coen film (Big Lebowski is one of the craziest things I've ever seen), but the Coen's don't make bad films. Except for that fucking Zeta Jones one, but Wheezy saved it.

Fuck yeah, seconded. That film never gets old for me. It's just such an amazing depiction of life at sea during that period... and the relationships are beautifully handled. The sound design is phenomenal... I mean crazy-good... when I saw it in the cinema, that quiet opening blew me away before the first shot was fired. I FELT as if I was with them in the ship, creaking away around me... absolutely one of the finest films I've ever seen.

Miller's Crossing got my vote, but I actually prefer the amazing Hitchcockian vibe from Blood Simple....one of the best "first movies" by new directing talent in ages.

Master and Commander is brilliant. As others in this thread have pointed out, the detail in the sets and sounds is amazing. It brings the sailing-era naval epic to a new level of realism. Great acting, too, not just from Crowe but from Paul Bettany and several others.

I absofuckinglutely LOVE Master and Commander, it's so rich in History and detail, I love it. The Kid who gets his Arm cut off also played Octavian in the BBC/HBO Series Rome by the way, he a great young actor and I think the bravery his character shows in the film when faced with losing his arm is astounding and credible, he's an officer and couldn't be seen to be weak in front of the men he was in charge of.

Great movie, if you don't like it I feel sorry for you for missing out.
