If I disregard the multiple Moonlighting season 3 discs at the top of my queue, my top 5 would look thusly:

1. My Super Ex-Girlfriend
2. 16 Blocks
3. Inside Man
4. Click
5. Jet Li's Fearless

I'm pretty much expecting MSEG and Click to suck, but I hope the others are cool.

Ain't got netflix- but I've got 5 DVDs on order that I'm gonna buy with my christmas money, which are:

The Jean Vigo Collection (L'Atlante's a fucking amazing film. In my top ten for sure).

Sharpe (All 15 movies)

Cowboy Bebop (series)

The Orpheus Trilogy by Jean Cocteau

and

AND

I've got Steven Seagal's latest on order too. Can't remember what it was called, and chances are it only has a total of 10 minutes of Seagal in, but fuckit it's my money I can do what I like with it.

Damn, this questions my legitimacy as a movie geek.

1. SPORTS NIGHT: THE COMPLETE SERIES Disc 6
2. BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: Season 1 Disc 1
3. THE WIRE: Season 1 Disc 1
4. CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM: Season 5 Disc 1
5. KUNG FU: Season 1 Disc 1

Here are the first five movies that appear, however interspersed with other TV series:

1. WHO KILLED THE ELECTRIC CAR?
2. AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH
3. HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE
4. GAME OVER: KASPAROV AND THE MACHINE
5. BAND OF OUTSIDERS (BANDE A PART)

As I've never seen any of the above, this also exposes some of my blind spots in the world of geekdom. No BG or THE WIRE? C'mon!

Well, that's why it's at the top of my list.

mayhaps, but your standing as a TV Geek has just skyrocketed...

I dug that Kasparov vs. Deep Blue doc. Sure, Kasparov comes off like a whiny egotistical brat, but fuck, he's the greatest chess champion ever, and they did kind of stack the deck against him.

and it's always cool to see peeps getting a Godard flick. QT took the name of his production company from that film...

Yeah, the QT connection is what first made me add it. That and Louis Malle's AU REVOIR LES ENFANTS (which, you may know, "RESERVOIR DOGS" is a humorous mispronounciation of.)

I'm not sure why GAME OVER is so high on my list, but that fucker is hard to rent. I think somebody stole it from my local Blockbuster where I first saw it like a year and a half ago, 'cause it's never been in. Now it's like, c'mon, Zip.ca, is it really that popular?
