My question is, is it worth it? I'm thinking of joining because I'm not fond of having to go to the four video stores in my area and finding out they don't have what I want.

Which goes for the fact I couldn't find "Ravenous" and "Doctor Who" Season 1 anywhere.

I'm a little surprised by that, actually. Netflix usually has what you're looking for, if that's what you mean, although they are missing a couple seemingly easy-to-obtain movies. You should probably browse through their library to get a feel for whether they have most of the things you're interested in before deciding if you should subscribe.

I have just made my account, and the first three I'll be receiving are the first three discs of "Heroes" season 1 (Gee, I wonder why...-cough-Claude-cough-Hiro-cough-), which makes the first four in my queue the rest of the discs.

And then after that, "300" to see what the fuss is about.

And to see "Friar Carl fighting the Romans at Masada in 73 AD." (I know it's not accurate, but it always gets a laugh. :) )

heh, I'm impressed. Alot of people I know could barely watch Audition and Fear and Loathing once each...

I STILL haven't seen Audition, I was just talking to someone about that last night. Gotta move that to the top of the damned list and get it over with.

Choices #2 and 5 would make a surreal twin bill.
Bale is astounding in The Machinist, and I would suggest liberal amounts of alcohol/other for F&LILV....enjoy!

Born into Brothels will mess with your heart.

Advice taken.

Yes, I'm sure Brothels will have a similar affect on me as the movie Trade did. Heart wrenching stories regarding women and the sex trade.

1. Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon
2. Robin Hood: Season 1 Disc 2
3. Hatchet
4. Spider-man: Season 1 Disc 1
5. The Purple Rose of Cairo

I have Robin Hood Disc 1 at home now. It was okay. Worth a look at Disc 2, at least. The lead reminds me of a young Cary Elwes. And the chick that plays Marian reminds me of Rachel Weisz's chunkier little sister. And the prison guard reminds me of Geoffrey Rush's ALF half-brother.

Yes he certainly was. Bale's best performance, imo.

I can't believe how ghastly thin he was. I had no idea what the movie was about nor did I know he underwent such drastic weight loss for this role. He was borderline anorexic.

First of all... Christian Bale Machinist is just icky.

Secondly, can anyone tell me if "The Reaping" is any good for a rental? Trying to add more movies to my list (mostly blu-rays if I can find them) and I wonder if this would be an okay weekend view with some friends.

If I remember correctly it was supposed to be pretty terrible.

1. Close Encounters Blu-Ray
2. Saw IV Blu-Ray
3. 3:10 to Yuma Blu-Ray
4. Live Free or Die Hard Blu-Ray
5. MST3K: The Starfighters

probably wont get any of those first 4 cuz it looks like theres a wait on those especially Yuma. Which means I'll probably be getting Zodiac and Ocean's 11 with MST3K first.
