Hey, what's up with Blue Underground?

They haven't updated their site in months and I haven't heard a peep out of them. Anybody know what's going on?

I can't say that I can help you, Theta...

But well, seeing a thread sink with 0 replies and not even a classy put down causes me actual physical pain. Whether it's mine or no...

Good luck with your causeyquest type thing there anyway, young 'un.

Ah Theta, King (or Queen?) of the WTF threads!

Who or what the hell is Blue Underground, and what does it/they/him/her have to do with DVDs?

Blue Underground is a cult film DVD label. I have a bunch of DVDs from them. I have no idea if theyre still operating or ready to shutdown. I hear alot of the smaller cult DVD labels arent doing too well these days. Sucks for us who love those kinds of films!!

They're still around. William Lustig (director of MANIAC and others and the owner of Blue Underground) is re-releasing some of the titles he had originally brought to Anchor Bay when he was working for them - things like Grau's LET SLEEPING CORPSES LIE aka BREAKFAST AT THE MANCHESTER MORGUE and an Argento title.

Times are tough for these days for the boutiques. Very hard to get shelf space in the major retailers.
Aw, crap!
