nice.

saavik with her hair down, and in a loose kimono, trapped in the turbolift with kirk. you could cut this sexual tension with a batt'leth.

ETA: aaaaaaaand enter mccoy with the sweet cockblock. no wonder kirk is so crabby in this movie. with "friends" like mccoy, who the fuck needs enemies?

kirk is now giving his spiel to the crew about him assuming command, and they just went into warp.

Apparently Nimoy was really unhappy about the set for Spock's quarters.

The guy who plays Khan's #1 is a bit lame. (he ended up playing dodgy bad guys in Babylon 5.

Genesis - as created by Pixar.

Still one of the greatest uses of CGI.

God, Khan's crew really disregard proper bridge protocol.

All just leaning around, looking untidy.

James Horner - it was his big break.

y'know its kind of funny to me, how today, shatner has sort of embraced this perception of his acting style as being completely over the top. and for the most part it is. but its flicks like this where you see that he actually CAN act. and i mean beyond this doped up, pseudo-hippie, MISTER TAMBOURINE MAAAAAAAAAN sort of schtick that he is so well known for.

i love spock.

i really do. i fuckin love him.

It's all down to the director - "I discovered that if you did enough takes, Bill would get tired, restless and would stop 'acting' and just be himself".

Yeah, I even downloaded parts of this soundtrack. Love the Amazing Grace that he uses at the end.

Really brilliant emotinal music in parts. Really gets under your skin.

PS. Bet you all wish you saw this film just before Quizmania last Saturday eh?

Then you STILL would have lost!!!!

man, i wonder what it would take to get into saavik's pants. i mean the normal bullshit like flowers, and candy, and pillow talk have to mean nothing to her.

like most vulcan women, she probably only responds to guys with giant cocks.

is that really how they load their torpedo bays?

when the fuck do they plan on firing on the reliant, next month?

you'd think that by the year 23whatever, they would have found a way to streamline the loading of their photon torpedo bays.

those exterior shots of the motara nebula really show off what a nice transfer this dvd is sporting.
