I heard about this just before the wonderful world of Disney flew my Herculean hinder out to Hawaii a few weeks ago to meet 'Lost' series creator Damon Lindelof and his maddeningly pretty cast, so I was kinda hoping they might show the assembled 2.1. Didn't happen!

You lucky, lucky, Hawaiians! You not o

There is a clip from Season 2 involving Kate, Locke & the hatch, it's realplayer but worth a look.

There's only one word for a clip like that: COCKTEASE.

But seriously thanks for the heads up JL, cool site too.

I've just been reading the Flash Comic Walt reads, there are a few interesting paralels, like The Green Lanterns Power and the Aliens Ability to make people think about the past (like the island does).

Check out the Mapinguari 'Preview' too, although I have no idea why a clip of Jules in Pulp Fiction gets thrown in there, makes me doubt it's legitamacy slightly but I don't see how it could be fake. Maybe it's an insider thing and the guy they have cast as her husband reminds them of Jules?

What the holy fuck is going on with that Mapinguari preview?

It looked fake but well yeh like JL said how can it be since there were plenty of season 2 clips. Very weird.

Edit: In fact watching it again I'm thinking it was a fake. Some of the editing is off and thers a scene of Jin talking and the subtitle says: "Rose went mapinguari on Bernard"

Very strange.

For a brief time, IMDb.com claimed that Samuel L. Jackson was going to play "Bernard," Rose's husband (it was listed on his filmography and everything). Don't know why though. As for the clip, I don't think it's real. Would Jin really say "Rose went all mapinguari on Bernard?" Come on now.

I'M EXCITED, YOU'RE EXCITED, WE ARE ALL DAMN EXCITED.

It starts tonight at 9 but me and JL won't have it for a day or so I'd guess. Here's where we can talk about it without ruining it for the slowcoaches here in teh UK.

TITG - I saw it and thought it was fantastic! I went back this morning and read the spoiler on aicn and it's pretty accurate (they missed one or two small things), so don't read it unless you want to know it all.

Week 2 is supposed to be about the raft people, so I have to wait 2 weeks to see what goes on with the hatch. That sucks.....

It does kinda suck, but I bet even in Ep3, you don't find out very much either!

I expect the 3 people left on the raft (or clinging to its remains) will be washed ashore back on the island, and a monumental search for Walt will ensue.

As I mentioned to JL, even though we know that Walt is special, I don't think that's why he was taken - I think it's because he's below a certain age. I reckon that children are the most important thing about the Lost mythology - look at how children affected the lives of Sawyer and Jack, for example.

I just hope it doesn't turn out to be something lame like "children are important on the island because they are more in touch with magic" - the kind of shit Michael Jackson would say.

Also - a lot of people connect Walt with the polar bear, but Danielle seems to have dealt with them long before the plane crash - any thoughts?

It could be because of Walt's age. They took Danielle's baby and tried for Claire's as well. I think the Others took Walt cause he's a kid, but they got more than they bargained for, cause he's so in-touch with the Island's mystical powers.

I know Danielle has fought numerous defense mechanisms, but I don't know if the polar bear was there before Walt. I think it might be the same thing as the black cloud, just manifested as a bear due to Walt reading the comic. I also think it could be Vincent transformed into a bear, since we never see the two together.

Remember when she's taken Sayid prisoner, and they hear something outside? She says "if we're lucky, it's one of the bears". Sounded to me like she has encountered the bears many times before. And if they only arrived when the plane crashed, why didn't she make some kind of connection between the bears and the castaways? After 16 years, would she not be a little surprised at the sudden appearance of polar bears?

I'm dreading the day that they reveal 'the big secret' because i fear its something silly (like the whole Rimbaldi shit with Alias) or something stupid (multiple personalities ala that ALF Identity movie).

I'm afraid that the reveal will be lame as well. But (sorry, Dino) I really don't think it will be a multiple personality angle. That's been done before (Identity) and it would leave too many unexplained loose threads.

Good stuff. Good stuff.

One of the things I love about "Lost," I think, is that the writers and directors have an excuse to play around with surreal imagery. The beginning of last night's episode was a perfect example of this.

It also looks to me like the Hurley has lost some weight.
