What does TV Guide say?

Fueled by alcohol and goaded by his amoral wife, Tigh dissolves the Quorum, arrests Tyrol and imposes martial law ' inspiring Apollo to try to free President Roslin. On Caprica, Starbuck and Helo have an unexpected encounter.

Yeah but it was a good episode, Gaius getting the info out of Boomer was the best bit, poor Chief.

This show continues to kick me in the nuts every week. Even little stuff is a joy to behold. I sat there through the cliched Pyramid match with the dumbest smile on my face. It is just a good time.

I gotta say, this season got off to a rocky start, but the last two episodes have been fantastic.

I like how Baltar is becoming dangerous, and unpredictable.

I'm really excited to see where the Apollo/President storyline is going, and man Apollo is actually good this season!

This is the BEST show on tv right now.

Does this make you want to re-watch the original series? I'm kinda itching for it, i haven't seen it in years... I'm worried i'll be disappointed.

Mind you, i'm sitting here watching episodes of Starsky and Hutch, and loving them.

I read a synopsis of every episode after the series kicked in and it made me realize the first show was crap. It brought back such painful memories!

Wait, the '70s had charm? According to my parents it just had a lot of pot (and coke and 'shrums, etc) and Led Zepplin albums.

After I got addicted to the new BSG about two months ago, I watched like 5 minutes of the old one on Sci-Fi and it looked horrible. I didnt' expericen '70s tv, but I'm beginning to doubt anyone that says it was great.

But not new, especially for shows in the 60s and 70s, which reused models and sets from old movies. Ask Dino about Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.

I like how Airplane 2 uses the original BSG Theme Music as the End credits Roll.

I remember when I was a kid watching the series where they got to Earth and two guys were sent down to sort something out, and they had some kind of Bike, I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Anybody remember that?

Galactica 1980.

I remember that better than the original series... Mostly for the episode where they explain what happened to Starbuck.

Same plot as "Enemy Mine" but with a cylon.

Now you must die. Jesus Enemy Mine is total crap. Every time its on cable I have to watch it for the over the top Rambo ending where that bad guy nearly snuffs the retard kid. It's hysterical.

"Zammis! Zammis!"

uhh.......

UHHHH.....

I'm not a 100% on this, but i'm pretty sure it was based on a short story that was supposed to be quite good. i'm going to look it up.

Was that a CANNON film? It looks like it... that kind of generic-y fake epicness that doesn't mean anything? Man even when I was a kid that movie pissed me off.

Here is some Enemy Mine Trivia from IMDB

The most interesting bit:

Author Barry Longyear reported at a convention that the studio insisted on adding a subplot involving a mine, the studio thinking the audience would not realize that the "Mine" in the title was a possessive rather than an object.

And I looked up the author, he hasn't written anything else i'd heard of, but "enemy mine" was an award winning novella first.

Here is a review of the Novella.

Picard: Ay ay ay ay, ay ay ay!
