Personally I expected a sketch. Not too much to ask from a legendary comedian, right?

i'm thinking "realistic" expectations. a couple months ago, i wouldn't have thought eddie showing up at all was a realistic expectation.

"It was my fault," only half-jokes the best-selling satirist and former editor of the iconic publication. Now, on the eve of a Lampoon-less 'Vacation' reboot he deems unworthy (a "dump-fill featuring the 'Hangover' wimp"), he explains what went right and very wrong for the once-legendary comedy brand.

I watched it last night from the beginning through the Weekend Update. I laughed a lot during that time. Hopefully it's a good sign for the season.

Wow that must have cost them a fortune to produce. It was good though...

PS I still would...

this week's "Black Jeopardy" sketch is one of my favorite things they've done on this show in a long time. it had all the hallmarks of the best comedy: it was funny, surprising, and insightful. that's the kind of satire classic SNL used to be much better at, so kudos to them. it was much more clever than any of the trump debate sketches they've done so far (those are funny too, but only because trump is such an easy target).

Last night's episode was hosted by Kristin Stewart, probably one of the worst hosts they've had. Hmmmmm, let's put someone who is notoriously shy and nervous in public.....and put her on live TV for 90 minutes. Genius. She'll be remembered for dropping the f-bomb during the monologue, but really she was just horrible.
So when this sketch came on halfway through the episode, it was like being woken up in the middle of the night to find jumper cables attached to your nipples and a car battery. I can't remember a mid-show sketch completely dominating the night like this did. I need more Melissa McCarthy as Sean Spicer. We all do.

that skit was great, and melissa mccarthy is a dead ringer for sean spicer in that makeup. don't know who should be more insulted by that.

i don't know what SNL is gonna do if trump actually lasts more than a year. can they add alec baldwin and melissa mccarthy to the permanent cast?

also, i thought kristen stewart did fine. i think the show made good use of her "range", and made particularly good use of her legs in that Super Bowl Jeopardy sketch. she certainly wasn't the worst host they've ever had, just see [insert athlete host's name here].

What are the chances that Alec Baldwin does the entire show this Saturday.... AS Donald Trump?

Well since there's literally no other topics out there to discuss...why not fire the entire staff and just have him and Melissa McCarthy for an hour doing the same bits every week?

You know, Rosie O'Donnel might actually be good as Herr Reichsprotektor Steve Bannon.

they should have her play melania. nothing would send trump into more of a tirade than seeing rosie o'donnell playing his wife.

.....well they had "Melania" picking up Leslie Jones dressed as Donald Trump, thinking that Jones WAS Donald.
That had to piss him off.

Gal Godot may be a great Wonder Woman, but she is horrible at live sketch comedy. Horrible. Sports stars have fared better than she did last night.

I keep telling people that she's a shit actress and therefore I think should be a disappointing casting as Wonder Woman, though I have not seen it yet. But this helps confirm my prediction.
