...and I was a bit disappointed with the Premiere. It was OK, had a few belly laugh moments, but definetly underwhelming considering my love for this show.

Charlie steals the episode as usual.

I have given this show every chance to impress me, but it just hasn't.

I watched, like, two seasons I think and it was such a chore. All of my friends love it, so I wanted to love it too, but I simply can't.

I just find them all REALLY annoying. And staring at DeVito gives me the creeps. But my friends think it is the best thing since sliced bread...so now I am on the outside looking in.

To each his own! I happen to think its a brilliant in a "did they just do/say that?" way, and has the subtle humour of a deranged clown clobbering you with a sledgehammer. As I said in this thread awhile ago, I liken this show to Seinfeld (my most favoritest TV show ever). The Sunny gang is like the Seinfeld gang on drugs.

DeVito is supposed to give you the creeps!

Agreed - D was really annoying me last night for some reason and they all seemed more shrill than usual. But I have faith - even if only every other episode is funny this shows still funnier than 98% of stuff out there. They can't all be classics like taking a baby to a tanning salon "just to get a base!"

What a total steaming pile of crap Season opener! ouch! Gotta admit I was highly disappointed here, but I think this show is a work in progress and will still produce some kick ass entertainment, we should be in for some good laughs. But I couldn't help feel that this episode in particular was damn near a total flop. They were obviously not trying very hard to blow the windows out with this season opener but I'll hang in there for now to see how things progress.

Fame gets into some people brains like a tumor. I have some limited faith that these guys can pull it out of the crapper before fans start jumping ship. However if things continue on this level, a full crew of inflatable dolls couldn't stop this ship from sinking. That may be a little harsh for 1 bad episode but come on, who the hell is running quality control over there? I thought I could count on this crew for at least a solid laugh an episode - yet I found myself not really laughing at all.

Until next week, I'll just hold out hope that this was not a sign of whats to come.

true. but i'm not really looking for twists when it comes to this show. I'm looking for people throwing piss on people and doing ocular scans.

C'mon, charlie eating the pear, core and all, despite saying how gross it was was a classice Always Sunny moment ("I always eat stickers!").

I didn't catch Dee zipping up on the first viewing. "Aw, no. Baby, they'll have your bony ass doing Dumbledore porn within a week in L.A.!"

Danny DeVito might be one of my most favorite people ever. He just seems like he'd be a blast to throw back a few beers with.

Im not denying there were funny bits in the episode Charlie and the pear was classic charlie.

Im still contending the funniest episode they ever did was the crack/welfare one.

Agreed. Esp. since it took me awhile to even remember what happened. I don't think I laughed once. My friend has a theory that the more famous comedians get the less funny they get because unconsciously they're not trying as hard. Maybe that's the case here, cos this show seems to have gotten steadily worse each season.

Remind me about the welfare episode Stereo... cos I don't remember it well and I'm sure if you remind me it will make me laugh a lot.

It's where they get on crack to get welfare. The B plot is welfare to work slaves. Its in season 2.

I loved the part where Dennis and Dee were sitting on the steps, drinking 40's and listening to Biz Markee.

I also think The Nightman Cometh is pretty fucking funny.

Work backwards... Season 2 was the high point IMO

You can blow thru seasons 1 and 2 in a 24 hour period. Season 2 might be the highpoint, but season 3 was a close second.

And welcome to the club... this show is all sorts of awesome

So this mediocre season ended on an insane high note... The Gang Reignites the Rivalry was easily the best of the season, and ranks up there for me as a top 5 episode for the whole show. This was a return to form for the gang, and great to see them finish the season this way. Please please please return next season like you ended this one.

P.S. The Christmas Special has some awesome moments ("did you fuck my mom" - Charlie), but overall was just ok.

Oh man I don't know about this... new babies on sitcoms can be the death of a show. Couple that with the fact that this show is about the most despicable people you'd never want to meet, and boy this could spell disaster. I'm am not a fan of this direction!
