Decent episode, but I kind of wished they'd played out Vince being out of favour for a little longer.

Honestly he really hasnt done a film for 2 season of the show.

Pre-Season 1 - Head On
Season 1-2 - Queens Blvd.
Seasons 2-3 - Aquaman
Season 3-4 (Vince starts not being in favor after turning down A2) - Medellin
Season 4-5 - nothing

I think it's a little lame that Ari didn't take the job. I liked the Dana Gordon twist though. But Ari as a studio head would have made for an intriguing change in formula.

Yeah it definitely would have with next season being it's last anyway.

Don't think so. There was a "scenes from the next..." clip at the end that showed Vinnie on the set of smokejumpers (and some douchebag stealing his lines...)

This is the first time we've seen a shoot sans the Medellin behind the scene.

I'm kind of surprised that they weren't able to get Werner Herzog to appear as he does seem to be quite willing to send himself up.

Wow.....
What an ending.

...not the actual ending. I'm sick of E.
I'm wowing over the phone call and the role.

Amazing ending! And I liked the warm reunion in E's office as well. Great fucking season! Good to see some depth in Vinces character as well, probably the first time he ever had a personal breakdown.

Damn, so many guys seem to hate E! I don't get it. He's the only interesting character on the show as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, I don't get the E hate either. He's definately the least cartoonish character in the entire cast.

Is E's case, sometimes the words "whiny bitch" just don't cut it.

me too. On the phone call and the role that is, not the E hate. Eric annoys me from time to time, but I still like that character quite a bit.

It was good to see Vinnie not be 110% loyal to one of the boys for once...a little crack in his good guy armor. Given the shit that he'd been through it would have been a bit unbelievable if he didn't lash out at someone. The firing of E was resolved rather quickly (about 5 screen minutes) which made it seem like a bit of a stunt. Could have some echos/ramifications next season, though and I hope it does. Eric wondering "where would I be right now if Marty hadn't seen that footage, would Vince have ever apologized?" The answer to that question, I think, is clearly yes, but I'd like to see Eric wondering a little about that. He was fired by his best friend, there should be some consequences, even if it's just a little distrust.

The call from Marty was a little convenient too...but I don't care. I was tired of poor Vinnie getting kicked around. I want to see him succeed. Very cool feel-good ending to the season, and I can't wait for the next one.

Without a doubt, one of my favorite moments from Entourage is now Werner, the crazy ass German director, rampaging down the hallway and getting all physical while Rammstein's DU HAST is playing prominently. ICIMSILASH! (I cramped in my stomach I laughed a so hard).

I stopped watching because there was far too much Turtle. I was trying to think the other day whether I actually like any of the characters...(I don't), but I outright HATE Turtle.

I like the show better when they are all miserable. Especially Turtle.

He actually has a decent plot line this season with him dating Jamie Siegler and actually trying to better himself.

Oh, I know, but i hate it. I got to episode 5(?) I think and I just couldn't take it anymore. I just can't stand the dude and I don't buy this crap for a second. I don't buy that he would get Jamie Siegler (he is dating her in real life because he is an ACTOR not becuase he is some dude's hanger-on) and the show seems determined to focus on him more than ever.

I think the show peaked long ago and no longer find the scenarios interesting. A more engaging show, to me, would focus entirely on Ari and that whole aspect. Have a rotating stable of his clients each season.

Just my two cents.

Ohh I'm not disagreeing in the slightest. Any iota of possible drama or inkling of repercussions in the show are swept way.

I just keep watching just because at this point.

I stopped watching as well because the creators/writers clearly have run out of ideas... it should've ended with season 5, really.

If hey had actually stuck with Ari running a studio it would have been a breath of fresh air for the series but alas they chose not to do anything remotely cool with it. As usual.

Let me dust off this thread..........now that the season is almost over.

Vince is a cokehead!! I've never touched the stuff, much less seen it, so I'm not an expert by any means... but that appeared to be ONE GIGANTIC BAG OF COKE!!!!

This year's Ari meltdown had been bad enough, but is now classified as being fucking brutal after getting the "real story" from Amanda. Ouch.

Lost my jones for this show a while back (I think I made it thru season 2 and decided I'd seen enough).

So they finally got Vinced hooked on coke? This guarantees them another season or two (one season dedicated to Vince blowing his career, one dedicated to him "getting clean" and getting back on track).

One more season and the maybe the movie theyve been threatening. Honestly I am watching only for some sadistic sense of closure. Same for Weeds at this point too.

AND he's dating a porn star! (Sasha Grey)

They've already announced that next season is the final, and possibly shortened, season.

Thought it was a really shitty ending until the post-credits bit which made me think two things:
1. Mrs. Ari has a smoking body for a scrawny chick.
2. Give us the Ari spinoff already. He was the only character to remain completely interesting for the life of the show.

Its funny to think that Ari Gold was a throwaway role when the show was first concieved. Jeremy Piven really made that character come alive, and quite frankly made Entourage a watchable show after the first few seasons.

Yeah. The Ari/Lloyd dynamic was my favorite part of the show. And like every other bit of the show, it only got a courtesy nod in the finale.
After sleeping on it, that was a horrible finale. You'd think they were only told halfway through filming the season that it was the final season.

Seems like a better idea for a HBO exclusive mini-mini series then a full blown studio movie.
