Random Coaxial

The greatest TV in history is being made right now. The worst TV in history is being made right now.

Just finished season 1 of Trapped aka as Ófærð (Icelandic). Crime/thriller/mystery/beautifully shot and well written. Loved it, now on Season 2.

What streaming service or channel is this available on? I loves me some foreign crime procedurals.

Did anyone see "Hoops" on Netflix? I just finished it. It's no Bojack Horseman or Tuca & Bertie or Big Mouth or F is For Family or Famiy Guy. It approaches Andrew Dice Clay levels of unfunniness sometimes.

My new favourite show, Raised by Wolves on HBO Max. Ridley Scott directed the first 3 episodes, executive producer on the rest, I believe.

Surprised no one is talking about this show on here. Anyways, check it out. It's excellent.

I'm sure there's a thread for this somewhere, I just can't find it. Trailer was a serious mashup of scenes, pretty hard to focus on who's who.

if I had CBS plus access, I'd definitely watch this, my fav King book. But I don't, so I can't, and I'll just wait until Netflix or Amazon Prime gobbles it up.

The Grinch Who Stole My Childhood

it can't be as bad as Jim Carrey's Grinch though right?

i did not watch this. i will never watch anything with the Grinch other than the original holiday TV special. you just can't improve on perfection. so i have no idea how bad this really was, but this quote gives me a pretty good idea:

Grinch actor Matthew Morrison wrote:"I took a lot from Joaquin Phoenix's performance in Joker.”

what's wrong, did a Grinch based on Travis Bickle feel too light-hearted and whimsical for you?

Certainly nothing compares to the original, but I have no problem with a live TV version. I just won't be watching it, that's all.

But if you REALLY want to get upset about a re-imaging of a classic cultural icon, feast your eyes on this!

People watching this movie will be mad at the chicken. They may even feel like choking the chicken.

And then they're gonna want to slaughter some poultry.

holy crap, that's awesome casting. not sure how Pascal will do as Joel, he's a good actor and can definitely pull it off, but i imagined the character as more of a younger Kris Kristofferson/James Brolin type. but Lyanna Mormont is gonna nail it.

so that makes two former GoT'ers heading up this thing. HBO didn't have to look far for this cast. it makes sense though: Pascal fought the undead Mountain, and Ramsey fought some White Walkers, so they've both got experience going up against "zombies" already.

Not sure if I already replied to this or not, but I just finished up Season 3 last night (thank you netflix). This show progressed to a pretty rediculous level at this point, the fact that Krese straight up tried to murder both Johnny and Danny, then they just decided to stop and settle it in the ring (AGAIN). Kids breaking into houses for rumbles, etc etc.

But so what, this is campy fun for sure. I laughed all the way thru this show, and will gladly look forward to the next season.
Unfortunately (for me), if season 4 is on Youtube like S1/2/3 started, then I've got a while to wait until it hits netflix again.

I'm pretty excited about the move... I only got to watch the first two episodes on Youtube when they were free. Now I can binge both seasons when it hits Netflix.

I didn't know that Youtube prime is no longer, so netflix only is great news.

A few shows I have binged lately and recommend:

Belgravia (like Downton Abbey, that's because it's Julian Fellowes creation - DOH!)
The Mauritanian (wait, that's a movie, worthy of your time, I hope they burn down that Guantanamo Bay facility soon!!!)
The Pembrokeshire Murders (ITV)
All Creatures Great and Small (PBS)
Vienna Blood (PBS)
Allen v Farrow (HBO Max)
Tiger documentary (HBO Max)
The Lady and the Dale (HBO Max)
