The greatest TV in history is being made right now. The worst TV in history is being made right now.

Herc says The Mole is to return to TV! I loved this show, the first two non-celebrity seasons of it anyway. ABC says when the show returns it'll be in the original format and while Anderson Cooper won't be back to host, they're looking for a host of his ilk. I can't wait!

Cool, I'm glad you liked it. I just about thought it was the best season of the three. It has a great finale that really keeps you wondering wtf is going on. Even now not all the questions about that finale have been answered.

That whole season was great. The new characters were pretty cool. Even AnaL was alright. Her backstory was interesting. And that was the hatch season of course. So finding all these different hatches was crazy. It's also when Ben came along and Locke got stuck under the blastdoor. Very intense.

I wonder if Ben pushed the button when that happened....

I'm glad you got into it. A lot of people don't.

I think a lot of people just complained about that season because it was pretty slow from week to week, but when you watch it on DVD you dont have that pitfall.

That and the fact that every new character, save Ben and Desmond, in the long run served little actual purpose.

This coming from the world's biggest Lost fan.

In their defense, I think Libby will play a role coming up. Eko brought a lot of change to Locke's character. Bernard can shoot good. There you have it.

So, I flipped on the tube here earlier and watched a show called Casualty. I guess it's kind of like the UK's ER?

They had some guy fall into a vat of chocolate and almost drown... and a lady lay down on a train track in order to cut off her leg... and yeah... it was odd...but enetertaining

Hey, S1 of Lost is amazing TV. S3 is pretty good. S2 was pretty fucking horrible, and even then I'll admit parts are great. But so much more could've been done with the new S2 characters.

Crash: The TV Show??????

IMDb wrote:Starz To Offer First Original Drama Series: 'Crash'
Movie channel Starz, which, unlike other pay-TV cable outlets like HBO and Showtime, has never produced original dramatic programming, has signed a deal with Lionsgate to develop a series based on the 2004 movie Crash. Several of the movie's producers, including Paul Haggis, Don Cheadle, Bobby Moresco, Bob Yari, Mark R. Harris, and Tom Nunan, will also oversee the TV series. Haggis, who also co-wrote the screenplay of Crash, told Broadcasting & Cable magazine that he had originally envisioned it as a TV show. "I am thrilled that it's coming full circle and can't wait to see how it expands and transforms," he said.

my prediction: this will win tons and tons of Emmy and Golden Globe awards... and it will be awful.

EW has released a list of 30 TV shows that should be resurrected from the grave. They got some goodies like Angel, Freaks and Geeks, Wonderfalls, Farscape... ect. Somehow Serenity missed the cut, but Drive made it... :?

I'm just watching the return of the American Gladiators.

Yeah baby!

There's more Camel Toe than a Marrakesh Animal sanctuary.

Wanna get me some Crush! She's a hottie.

I'm only going to watch one episode then I'll want them to have chainsaws again (like last series).

Did anybody catch Being Human on BBC3 the other night?
It's a post-buffy series following a vampire and werewolf as they attempt to lead normal lives but end up moving in with a ghost.
Perhaps it was because my expectations were very low that I found myself really enjoying but it really won me over. It's not cheesy or snarky, the characters have believable feelings and emotions, the plot isn't dumbed down (it's not super smart either though) and 2 of the 3 leads are very good actors, the guy playing the vampire just gets to look broody most of the time.
What sold it for me were the creepy details - there's a description of dying which sounded positively terrifying. The wolf effects were an obvious homage to AAWIL and they looked really good for such a low budget show. The dialogue only really got clunky a couple of times, the "big bad" is full of big clichés and that's about it.
Mainly I ust want someone else ot watch it and tell me I've not just lost all semblance of quality control!!!

It's on the [url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/page/item/b0090xff.shtml]BBC iplayer[url] for anyone interested.

The status of your favourite/least-favourite television shows:

http://reporter.blogs.com/pilotseason/renewed-shows.html

RENEWED

ABC - Dancing With the Stars, Wife Swap, Supernanny, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, America's Funniest Home Videos, Pushing Daisies, Private Practice, Dirty Sexy Money, Brothers & Sisters, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Lost, Private Practice, Samantha Who?, Ugly Betty, Bachelor

CBS - NCIS, Criminal Minds, CSI, CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory, Cold Case, Without a Trace, Ghost Whisperer, Numbers, Survivor, Amazing Race

NBC - Chuck, Life, Heroes, Biggest Loser: Couples, Celebrity Apprentice, American Gladiators

FOX - Kitchen Nightmares, Simpsons (as if it'll ever be cancelled...), Family Guy, King of the Hill, American Dad

CW - Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, Smallville, Everybody Hates Chris, America's Next Top Model, Supernatural {Does The CW have anything good on?}

PENDING

ABC - Oprah's Big Give, Here Come the Newlyweds, Scrubs
CBS - Moonlight, Rules of Engagement, Price Is Right, Million Dollar Spectacular, Big Brother, Power of 10, How I Met Your Mother
NBC - Deal or No Deal, The Office, My Name Is Earl, Knight Rider, Friday Night Lights, ER, 30 Rock
FOX - American Idol, America's Most Wanted, House, Don't Forget the Lyrics, Bones, Back to You, COPS, 5th Grader, Moment of Truth, Terminator: The Sarah Connoricles, Til Death
CW - The Game, Beauty and the Geek

BUBBLE

ABC - Men in Trees, Women's Murder Club, Carpoolers, October Road, Just For Laughs, Boston Legal (KHAAAAN)
CBS - Dexter, Jericho, Cane, Shark, The New Adventures of Old Christine, The Unit, Welcome to the Captain
NBC - Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Medium, 1 vs. 100, Amnesia, Lipstick Jungle
FOX - Unhitched, Prison Break, New Amsterdam
CW - Reaper, Aliens in America, Pussycat Dolls (KIIIIRRRKK)

Apparently there are a few shows which have just vanished into thin air and haven't been renewed...but haven't been cancelled either. The writer's strike have allowed the networks to just write stuff off without having to worry about it.

Darn, you had my hopes up...my dad watches that channel endlessly (As well as Military and Science) and I can't get to watch any of Sci-Fi or BBC as they put it on digital cable...and I don't have damn digital cable in my room. AAaaarrrggghh

Still, they did do a "Modern Marvels" episode about WDW, yet I have no idea where I can find the DVD...

Top 50 Shows of All Time?

There's some good stuff on there and some bullshit on there, but to have Heroes 20 places higher than Alias and 28 places higher than freakin' STAR TREK is a goddamn joke. Damn Brits. If Lost hadn't placed so high, I'd swear that Chilli wrote it.

It's awesome that the list shows some Whedon love (all of his shows made it), but where are the classics of yesteryear? The Honeymooners? All in the Family? Cheers? Small Wonder???

Absolutely ridiculous. None of the Whedon shows is among the 50 best shows of all time, but then neither are half of the shows on the list, at least. Family Guy? Lost? I'm sorry, Lost is very entertaining, but it's not even close to being one of the best programs ever. Scrubs, for the gods' sake? Where's Mary Tyler Moore? Dexter? It's only been on for a year!

I could be wrong about this but I think this list may have not taken all shows into account when making this list about all shows...

Or 'I Love Lucy', for chrissakes. The modern sitcom wouldn't exist without that show. I guess that wouldn't sell enough magazines, though.

Apparently Moonlight fans are willing to give blood to keep their show on the air.

Was anyone else staying up late on Tuesday (April Fools Day), watching the pilot premieres on Adult Swim?

One live action show that made me double over laughing: A Young Person's Guide to History. Apparently, it's from the makers of Saul of the Molemen, but I think their new show is much funnier.

Anyone else?
