Farscape

Thats right. I'm going to admit it. I'm a Farscape fan. I have all the seasons on dvd and the Peacekeeper Wars. I wrote letters and did all the stupid fan campaign stuff. All my friends make fun of me for it but I'm standing up right here in the zone and saying that I am a fan of Farscape. Anyone else around here?

I've seen some of it, and I know that it's made in Sydney... and therare muppets in it. That's about it... It was burried deep in late night schedules back home so I never really saw any of it.

You bet Coldfire.

I'm standing up there proud with you on this one.

Much better than the latter day star trek spin offs. Better character involvement and actually quite a profound program.

The peacekeeper wars was a fantastic way to end the show.

I loved Dargo, Kryten and pilot. Great cast and great crew.

Its funny how they both turned up in SG1

It was the first sci fi show to create a naughty word and use it effectively......something BSG has stolen...I think.

Actually the "frak" thing was in the original BSG series too, if memory serves.

I too love Farscape more than series that followed it on Sci-Fi. Too bad they can't get a decent DVD release ie seasons instead of "volumes".

Yes this plus Venture Bros makes two sucessful threads that i've started.

I bought the season dvd's off of ebay or at best buy. They were around $100 a pop. A heavy price to pay but at the time I had missed alot of episodes because hell the show was on friday's at 8 and I was a teenager.

I didn't even see season 3 or 4 so the money was oh so worth it.

Its hard converting people to Farscape because of the puppets but the show I think was handled very well with a very witty style. Its a smart show I suggest you guys check a couple of episodes out if you're ever bored.

Yeah, its a shame that more people didn't watch it.

From what I gather though its got a huge fan base.

I remember being drunk on the train and these two girls pulled out a Buffy folder and one of Farscape.

We were talking all the way home..........fantastic.

They were lesbians too.

I love Farscape. No regrets. All I could hear was that this was a hodgepodge of Buck Rogers, Lost in Space, and Star Trek with Muppets, but I disagree, since John Crichton, played by Ben "No I'm not Ben Roethlisberger's daddy" Browder referenced them in the show.

I loved the cast, especially Chiana, played by Gigi Edgley. She was a hottie in that costume, and I say that without regrets.

I just wish I knew why the damn dvd sets were so expensive. I went to Best Buy once and the sets were over $100. I was like, wtf? Since when was Farscape on HBO?(A pale reference to how ludicrously expensive their box sets are. $80 for a season of Sopranos? Fuck that).

I will always have fond memories of this show. Truly it deserves more love.

I love Farscape. Aeryn Sun is my hero.

I mean, frelling hello:

Now I've got to go search the internets for a picture of her from the season 3 or 4 opener (the one where she comes back with Scorpy).

Brian Henson on His New Reality Show, the ‘Fraggle Rock’ Movie and More
What's going on with the 'Dark Crystal' Movie?
Ramin Setoodeh wrote:Is the Jim Henson Co. making a “Dark Crystal” sequel?
We have one written. It’s really good. We don’t have a production schedule or anything. It’s a big movie to put all the pieces together.

What about the “Fraggle Rock” movie?
“Fraggle Rock” is still in development, but the development is looking very strong, where “Dark Crystal” is mostly developed. “Fraggle Rock” might go faster because it’s not as big an undertaking.

What’s going on with the “Farscape” movie?
I can’t tell you anything. That one is pretty secret.

What is the Creature Shop working on now?
Lady Gaga.
