No shit. With all the color treatment that can be done in post why not go for a faded Technicolor look?

Then on top of that the episode didn't do a damn thing. Seriously, what was the point? If Alice shows up out of the fucking blue at the end of the season finale to dispatch the villains with lightning so help me I am going to punch the daylights out of Tim Kring.

Wow.
So Nathan died. REALLY died this time.
Kinda cool because it was rather gory.
But it sucks.... only because of what followed with Sylar. That was some pathetic soap opera shit there.

Hiro's not looking well.
If he would have died, that would have been the ultimate suck.

And ice girl is now water girl?...... (or is that the final sister?)
I actually found that revenge bit mildly intriguing.

Sigh. Bring on next season and more mental abuse.

yeah not impressed at all with the finale

in fact Chuck's finale, which isn't guarenteed a comeback, to me was better then HEROES, which just was..I can't understand why they can't put togather a good finale, like ever

Terrible, terrible finale....

Claire's wig was the best actor of the lot. How this show survives, when things like Sarah Connor and Reaper get canned - I simply do not know.

I tell you what... lets have a massive final epic battle between Sylar, Peter and Nathan - but put it behind closed doors so we dont have to spend any money on visual effects.

I think the greatest triumph Heroes ever managed to do was this...

EVERYONE THINKS THE SHOW IS SHIT.... BUT STILL CONTINUE TO WATCH IT - WHAT THE MOTHERFUCK??!!??

Yeah. They got away with that when Peter went to the future. It was actually cool then. But it gave the hope of actually SEEING a badass powers-based fight.
Only to be let down.

I don't understand how Peter (with his mimic powers) and Nathan (who could fly) could even think that they could take out Sylar.

Hubris? Stupidity? I mean, maybe if Peter had his original powers before Daddy Dearest hugged him.

But with just the flying power? Come on.

So, Nathan dies.

Now, what happened to the 'Claires blood with bring someone back to life' thing?

It happened to her dad and he got a bullet through the brain.

They should the name of the show to R-tardoes.

couldn't Claire's blood also like heal Hiro of his headaches/nosebleeds/earbleeds and whatnot

I have the feeling the Hiro is going to go "rougue" or something and steal Parkman's baby to get his powers healed ala the Sword in season 1

So I didn't watch the season finale, but my take on the whole Sylar-is-Nathan thing is that Zachary Quinto probably isn't coming back, but he didn't necessarily sever his ties with the show completely. So instead of writing him off per se, they made Adrian Pasdar Kinda-Sylar, thus "leaving the door open for Elijah," as those of the Jewish faith might say.

The last two episodes....

I thought "I Am Sylar" was again a decent episode. No particular problems with it.

The finale....it was just kind've a mess. Plot inconsistencies galore, seeming like they just wanted to get things back to "The Company vs Heroes" as quickly as possible. I could see some good ideas somewhere in there, but it was all over the place. Nathan's death by Sylar was actually quite creepy, but then a few minutes later was scratched out by the other goings on.

Big problems - they've clearly not got anything else to fall back on without Zachery Quinto and Sylar. Taking away Hiro's powers AGAIN also takes away one of the reason's people used to like the character. If you're going to leave these characters as lame imitations of their former selves, you might've as well just kill 'em all and get new ones.

...just how many Nikki's are there anyway?

Ribbons wrote:So I didn't watch the season finale, but my take on the whole Sylar-is-Nathan thing is that Zachary Quinto probably isn't coming back, but he didn't necessarily sever his ties with the show completely. And there's not just the Nathan-Sylar DNA mish-mash. Peter, having taken on Sylar's powers, is now likely a Peter-Sylar DNA mish-mash.

Has Peter definitely got all of Sylar's powers? If so, why didn't he fly after him? The way I read it was that Peter still only has the capacity for one power at the time and at the moment that's the ability to be Worf.

I wish I had the ability to just stop watching.

But no.

They're a bit sketchy about the details of Peter's current power.

He can only take on one individual's power at a time. But Sylar's actual power is taking other abilities via head cutting. As Peter demonstrated morphing, one assumes he's taken on all of Sylar's assumed abilities.[/quote]

I wish I had the ability to just stop watching.

But no.

I wish I hadn't just put so much thought into the above.

Yeah, I kind of figured that would happen, although I was hoping that it wouldn't. NBC/Universal has been giving Fuller a boosh-load of money to develop several new pilots for them at a time. Good to know that they're always thinking forward, I guess, but I have to wonder what exactly that means for "Heroes"? According to that article they worked on the arcs for a bunch of characters b efore Fuller left, so there's still always hope that the forthcoming episodes will be spectacularly riveting. In the meantime, at least Fuller is finally getting a chance to make an honest living.

Hopefully Fuller helped develop a blueprint for the season - one that involves the tragic death of every character except Hiro and Ando, who then travel the country in their Nissan Versa experiencing America and having weekly wacky adventures.

let's say this twinkie represents the normal amount of bad writing on a network television show. based on the writing for Heroes, it would be a twinkie thirty-five feet long, weighing approximately six hundred pounds.

that's a big twinkie.

honestly I didn't even realize the premire was tonight, I flipped over to my CO NBC station about 9 and saw part of it and I was like "is this an ep from last year or this year's premire"

2 hour House consumed me for the most part--missed the last 30 min of that but for the first time to sit down and seriously watch HOUSE, I loved it

we should start a survivors thread for those of us who used to watch the show and finally came to our senses and gave up on it. maybe something like "i watched that useless shitfest called Heroes and all i got was this lousy thread" or something.

then again, if the show continues sucking the way it always has, we wouldn't need a new thread, because the only people left posting will be former viewers.

apparently, we're not the only ones who've abandoned heroes

Herc wrote:* Fans have had it with “Heroes,” which took a non-heroic distant fourth place, falling another 46% from its season-three opener.

hey, at least it beat Castle! ummm... what the hell is Castle?

don't worry, moo. i'm sure something cool will happen soon: Heroes will get cancelled!

I would have watched it on Tuesday night, but not Monday. Not against House.

House fucks Heroes up the ass with a cane and doesn't use lube.

Just watching the first two eps of Heroes.

Oh.My God. I could cry, why bother?

Why bother putting the show on? Why bother crying? Just, why bother living?

There is no reason this is on.

Imagine owning a set of fishnet stockings made of elastic...then stretch those out as far as they possibly can go. The holes that are visible....they are holes of plot.....

It really is shit, do not go near.

Tim Kring, I don't know who you sucked off but because of you, there's probably some awesome script that will lie by the wayside because of your arsehole series.

Fuck you.

...yeah...I think I'm going to wait till January when BBC2 shows it.

They were apparently thinking about dumping it, but instead are moving it "in order to find the right audience".

Heroes has been sucking big time. My wife and I were all set to call it a day and stop watching. Then we watched the last episode on our DVR (last week's episode - episode 4.5) and were VERY pleasantly surprised. Some decent twists and reveals. Enough so that we'll keep watching - for now.
