STAR WARS TV SHOW (w/ 104% More Boba Fett! Confirmed!)

The greatest TV in history is being made right now. The worst TV in history is being made right now.

Apparently, the finale of Season one features a dramatic stand-off between these three:

My money is on the Gronk droid, or whatever the shit it’s called. It’s got legs; at the very least it could kick the other two.

it's also a mobile battery, which means it could shock the shit out of the other two...

that or they'd just feast on it's power core.

I agree, but if the other two combined forces all they'd need to do is knock it over and it would be fucked - quite literally, in the case of that evil round one who, I'm told, is quite the robo-pervert.

Oh shit, I forgot Bandages Guy - he should be in there as well. He and Bossk were married, and had adopted a child, until the Galactic Empire outlawed same sex / inter-species marriage.

So it’s personal for them too. They are working from the inside, biding their time, and waiting for their chance to bring down the Emperor, and locate their adopted son, Greedo.

I think we have our A-Team folks.

Good work today people.

Lucas on the CG-animated Star Wars Series
Source: The Associated Press October 5, 2006

George Lucas talked to the Associated Press on Wednesday and said that Lucasfilm's CG-animated "Star Wars" TV series could air next year, although he hasn't sold the show to a network yet.

The "Clone Wars" series is set during the time when the Republic is fighting a civil war against separatists led by Count Dooku. The mythic period hasn't been dealt with too much in the popular "Star Wars" movies, so "it's a fun place to go," Lucas said.

"It basically has all the main characters" such as Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, Lucas said, but the stars who played them in the movies won't voice them for the TV show.

The series is one of many projects being pursued by Lucas, including a fourth "Indiana Jones" movie.

"We're working on it. We haven't agreed on a script yet," Lucas said.

BOBA FETT!!

It's not definitive proof, but it looks pretty darn close. Still not sure how they'll make him into a sympathetic anti-hero when he's supposed to be one of the most ruthless bounty hunters in the galaxy, but I'm for damn sure interested to check it out.

I hope that's just a hype-generating picture. I don't want to see Boba Fett be a main character. Sure, a little story arc with him would be cool, but not on a week-to-week basis.
I'm also not jumping with joy with the way Yoda looks in the Clone Wars picture in the middle of that poster.

The way I understand it, it's gonna be a sitcom with Boba Fett as the wacky next-door neighbor.

The main character is Bossk.

I just hope that the majority of the episodes (say 90 or so) deal with the really important stuff in the SW universe that all the fans really enjoyed.

I am of course talking about trade embargos and all the dramatic back room deals in the Senate for various planets go get more favourable quotas for their ore mining rights. Yeah!! That'd fuckin' rock!!!

Maybe a whole season dedicated to Bothans trying to win the Kessel spice mining rights. Those guys drive a hard bargain...

Boba-fett, Boba-fett
Does whatever a Boba-can.
Spins a net, any size,
Catches bounty just like flies
Look Out!
Here comes teh Boba-fett.

Is he strong?
Listen bud,
He's got midichlorian blood.
Can he swing from a rope
Take a look underdope
Hey, there
There goes teh Boba-Fett.

In the chill of night
At the scene of a crime
Like a streak of light
He arrives just in time.

Boba-Fett, Boba-Fett
Friendly galaxy Boba-Fett
Thanks and laud
He's ignored
Bounty is his reward.

To him, life is a great big bang up
Whenever there's a hang up
You'll find teh Boba-Fett

Are you kidding? I'm much happier they are going a stylized route ala Genndy's Clone Wars then a "realistic" CG show.

Nah, I'm not really kidding. I just figured we'd see the same Yoda from Episodes 2&3. I actually thought for a minute it would be that realistic. Now I see that it's just going to be "Droids 2008". I don't think it will be that bad, but with the subject being the Clone Wars, I figured it would be a little more realistic.

Live Action Star Wars Update
Source: Entertainment Weekly
October 14, 2007

Entertainment Weekly reports that George Lucas is coming to Los Angeles next week to meet with writers for Lucasfilm's upcoming live-action "Star Wars" series.

Lucas' plan is reportedly to recruit several freelancers - aka "writers of real significance" - to spend a week at the Skywalker Ranch in November to come up with story ideas for the series. Lucas has apparently indicated a desire to hire writers from other countries.

The writers would then disperse and write the 13 episodes that would be produced and financed by Lucas."

Live Action Scoop on the main site.

Something tells me the final episode will be about the Bothan Spies stealing the Death Star plans..... which wouldn't necessarily be a bad story to tell.

No it doesn't.

just sounds like they're milking a dead horse. Come on, seriously. We've DONE Star Wars now!!! It's the same ground being covered again and again. Give us a new Star Wars story. PLUS - we know the outcome!!! We don't need to have a connect the dots story between SW3 and 4. That universe has much better things to tell us.

I again, quote Ricky Gervais, "You think you want it, but you don't." Kinda thing that I tell all the chicks that I tried to pull in the past - and you all know the outcome of THAT too!

If you have Sebulba, you go to the doctor.
He gives you some cream.
You apply it.
Buh-bye Sebulba.
Otherwise, it's not Sebulba and you have bigger problems.

Here's hoping that both series make oodles of millions of dollars and then Lucas says "Hey, those Knights Of The Old Republic games sold well... maybe there's some stories to tell back then, too." Those games (minus the end of the second one) are better stories than 70% of the prequels.

Man, I was playing some Republic Commando this morning, and shooting Trandoshans with the anti-tank weapon in close quarters. Those fuckers bounce around like tennis balls when you hit them with heavy artillery. Brutal.

Anyways, I hope there is some of that in this show -I like watching those lizard-fucks die.

Why use the rifle when the BFG is always so much fun?
