He's probably going to go for a wild west vibe I'd guess.

Agreed, that looks badass. Too bad I won’t be able to watch it.

And that’s just the first 36-minute episode
Ribbons wrote:I'm hearing that the episodes are only 35-ish minutes? I don't love that idea; the one thing a Star Wars TV show can do differently from the films is be slower and more deliberate. Hell, even Breaking Bad was 45-50 minutes an episode.
so sorry wrote:Correct, it was only a half hour or so. It didn't feel 'short' to me,

Ribbons wrote:I appreciated the ratcheting-up of stakes and consequences. The pilot was a cool mission statement of sorts but overrelied on our familiarity with the Star Wars mythology to care about what was going on. Episode 2 was like two random video-game fetch quests rolled into one. This last one, with its exploration of Mandalorian culture and the momentous decision that irrevocably changes our main character's fate, is where things finally started to get interesting.

Hmm, I just assumed that was him in there that whole time...

"This is the way" is on a knife's edge of teetering over into self-parody, but I have no complaints otherwise. This looks pretty cool; it took me a minute to get used to the tone of The Mandalorian, which has a live-action Saturday Morning Cartoon vibe going on, but I enjoyed the show a lot more once I did. Almost every episode is like a self-contained mini-adventure with guest stars.

Lots of buzz on the internet with different theories on this episode. I hope we see more of Cobb Vanth.. I recognized the voice and I thought who is that actor...then he took off the helmet. He was the best part of that episode, second place goes to, the Krayt dragon.
Indeed, 'This is the way' is overplayed but I can deal with it.

so sorry wrote:I read an article breaking down episode 1 (which was almost as boring as watching it), but stupid me, I didn't realize that the actor at the very end was the guy who played Jango Fett/clones in the Prequels, thus it was Boba Fett.
