NURSE JACKIE

Life is full of little Struggling Background Artists!

New series on Showtime starring Edie Falco (Sopranos). I caught the first episode a few nights ago and quite enjoyed it. It's a neat blend of dark humour, absurdity and drama.

I liked it. Darkly humorous, and Falco really brings the character to life. Plus, she looks great with the short hair.

No interest whatsoever. Based on promos and poster alone it just feels like showtime is trying way too hard to be "edgy"

Well the promos may deliver that feeling (I agree), but the show is way more subtle than the promos would suggest. I actually think you would like, Cory.

So yeah, still watching this show after 6 episodes. I quite like it. I found it interesting to see that Steve Buscemi has directed a few of the episodes.

Bump.

Just gotta say, I really have been enjoying this show. Last week's episode had a film critic in the ER. Most amusing.

Not sure who my favourite character is, it's a toss up between Dr. O'Hara and Coop. Obviously Nurse Jackie's character is very engaging but for me, it's the quirky staff that she works with who deliver most of the dark humour.

Only 3 episodes left for this season and it's been renewed - yeah Season 2!

Jackie is soooooooooooooo BUSTED!

I have to wait til next season to see if Eddie told her husband about their affair and to see the outcome of her morphine indulgence?

Cliffhangers galore!

I just watched the first episode of this and I gotta say I enjoyed what I saw. I have been on a showtime kick. This last month alone I have watched all of Weeds, Dexter, and I started Californication...

Monday, March 28th. Just looked the season 3 premier date and realized this show just aint popular in the zone. Maui sure seems to like it.

I like it. Never would have checked it out on my own, but my wife was all about it.

Falco's Jackie is a great character. Annoying how the writers have all the male characters seemingly considering her hot as hell. Not. The rookie nurse is funny and I expected her to be annoying. The British surgeon is the hottest man-faced chick you'll ever see. The hot shot young doctor is an unlikable Struggling Background Artist, but that's the point.

Where you at, Maui? What'd you think?

It was probably the most underwhelming season premier of any show ever.

Yeah, where the heck are you, Maui? :)

It seems like the momentum that the show had was totally lost during the time off. I still love the characters, but the zip in this episode was totally zapped.

Okay, now this week's episode was more like it. Much better than the season premiere.

I'm just having major problems with Eddie. He's the one who introduced himslef to Jackie's husband, yet he's blaming Jackie for him lying about who he was. He's too damn needy LOL
