Isn't that a Pink Floyd song? "...I....have become.....predictably smug....."?

And these two statements are somehow related?

John-Locke wrote:meh, Moriarty's plot to frame Sherlock was pretty obvious and the closing scenes had no emotional impact because it was obvious Sherlock wasn't dead (no doubt season 3 will reveal Molly helped him out somehow, plus he picked the roof as the meeting place, plus the bike knocked Watson over so they could have released Sherlock from his safety harness and poured some blood down or some such trickery)
I still enjoy the show for what it is (fun) but find the high praise it gets rather baffling.

No chance of that, you see his arms flailing about, it looks like Benedict even did the stunt himself or someone who looks an awful lot like him.

Cumberbatch VS Downey - Cage Match!

Fievel wrote:Finally got around to the season 2 finale.
These bastards have the cliffhanger down to a cruel science. I lack the intellect to understand how either Sherlock or Moriarty could possibly be alive - especially Moriarty since we never saw him after the rooftop. And yes, I'll qualify myself as another American that eats this shit up. I eat it up, and it tastes quite good, thank you very much. They are apparently coming out with an American version of this (set in New York, of course). Fuck that. I want my Sherlock set in London. And smug.

He's on the fence about it, because, while he likes the scripts and the wit, Sherlock really is an asshole in this series. Cumberbatch's Sherlock is more of an asshole than any other version my roomie has seen, and he thinks the portrayal crosses the line. And he thinks Watson is too wimpy.
