Or Showtime, AMC, FX, whatever.
There are some threads similar to this for movies -- wishlists for book adaptations, best sci-fi films never made -- but certain properties, like Game of Thrones for example, just lend themselves better to a long-form medium like TV. And there are a couple geek faves like The Dark Tower or 100 Bullets that ought to get the same treatment as well.
So does anybody else have any stories they think would be perfect for TV? One that springs to mind for me would be The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, Haruki Murakami's 600+-page surrealist opus. It's weird enough that no movie studio would ever take a chance on it, and really too long and sprawling to be condensed into a single film anyway, but it's also episodic in structure and could probably make for a really cool miniseries, in my opinion.
