The greatest TV in history is being made right now. The worst TV in history is being made right now.

Silicon Valley

I'm surprised there isn't already a thread for this programme. It's best thing on TV at the moment.

I skipped it because Mike Judge is kind of hit-or-miss for me, but if I hear enough good things I will check it out eventually.

A template that I couldn't help but notice, not sure if this is intentional on HBO's part or if it's all in my head, but:

Sex and the City
Sex and the City + Cool Rich Guys = Entourage
Entourage - Rich = How to Make It in America
How to Make It in America - Cool = Silicon Valley

It's a hilarious series with subtle and not-so-subtle jabs at the tech world. I'm sure there are even some fantastic Easter Eggs for insiders, but it seemed easily accessible to a casual fan like me.

I never watched How To Make It In America, but I'll say that Silicon Valley is Sex In The City, but guys, all about the job, and with 0.01% of the sex that SITC had.
Oh, and it's really funny and the characters are people you can root and empathize with on various levels. Well.... except for the whole being offered millions of dollars for a few lines of code.

Great ending to the season! I was expecting a shitty season next year with Bellson in charge. But noooo! Bachmanity for the win! And Big Head is back!

As an aside, I had my hair cut today by a man who looked and spoke exactly like Big Head. He did a good job, but it was a little uncomfortable.
