I had to double check the date as this seems to be an April Fool's Day-level gag.....but it's apparently real!!

the premise feels uninspired. if you're gonna do a Space Force show, it should be a Team America-style puppet show. or a Spies Like Us-type movie about a couple of bumbling fools who fail out of NASA and then get assigned as the first "recruits" to Space Force by a bunch of exasperated generals who are just putting on a show to appease Trump, but then they accidentally end up thwarting an actual alien invasion (but it turns out the head alien is Vladimir Putin, which causes Trump to disband the Space Force and say it's all a bunch of Fake News, so their heroism goes unnoticed).

in other words, something that's at least a fraction as ridiculous as Trump's actual Space Force idea.
