If Ghostbusters 3 ever became reality then I'd want this guy as a buster. Surely he is due a comeback. Any fans out there?

Posidien (sp) Adventure remake made for TV.

Not even a top billing.

That answers that question.

Guest star on Veronica Mars every once in a while. I think he's been in 4-5 eps so far. He's the new Mayor of Neptune, or something.

How did he end up there though? He was in Three men and a lady and Cocoon! He was a shining blockbuster star! Poseidon adventure, pah. What was it? Coke, hookers? Seleck?

I went to Baylor University, the largest southern Baptist college in the world. About an hour away from George W's ranch, so you get the pic. Anyway, the school had a satirical paper called The Rope. They published an article about Baylor purchasing a Gutenberg Bible.

Basically, Baylor buys a Gutenberg Bible off Ebay. Turns out it's actually a Guttenberg Bible. Steve Guttenberg's Bible, actually. A fake Steve Guttenberg Bible.

Guess you had to be there. Just made me think of it.

there are a lot of these guys who have either disappeared or are doing considerably less than they used to. I'm not saying I miss all of them terribly, but they used to be reasonably big stars:

Guttenberg
Michael Keaton
Patrick Swayze
David Duchovney
Emilio Estevez
Chevy Chase
Tom Berenger
River Phoenix (ok, just kidding about this one...)

steve guttenberg actually left hollywood to become a sherpa in the alps, and i heard although im not sure this is true, he turned down the peter venckman role in ghostbusters because he has a legitamite paralysising fear of ghosts.

Man, too much Guttenberg all at once!

Very weird you asked this question today Monkey, because Guttenberg was interviewed today in my favourite free newspaper - Metro!

He came across as a really cool guy, my favourite comment: "I'm fucking rich, bro!"

Brilliant. Read the interview here

By the way, I'm always slightly bemused when people come on certain threads and go "I'm NOT BOVVERED!!!11", so with all due respect, Burl and El Scorcho - if you don't care about where Guttenberg is, why did you click on this thread? Suggestion: simply go to a different thread - there are plenty here, I'm sure you can both find one you like - try my "Simon Sez Santa" in the Your Links section - knock yourselves out, and leave us Guttenberg lovers to ourselves - we harm nobody

Oh, and Scorcho, in case you're interested, they interviewed your best friend Steve Carell in the same paper on Tuesday, he says he will be the star of Bruce Almighty 2. Follow the link to the interview above, and look for a link on the left side of the page if you're interested.....

Why click? Morbid curiosity. I have nothing AGAINST Guttenberg... we was inches from both Wilford Brimley AND Brian Dennehy at one point in his life after all. I just thought Scorcho's comment was funny.

I miss the metro, my horrorscopes, Nemi and the 30(?) second interview. They have a similar one here in China, but the language is just not the same.

I thought there might be more love for Guttenburg, so for all intents and purposes its probably best that we all come up with insane reasons why, like the dude above, v.amusing. Glad he is rich, it obviously wasn't coke and whores afterall. Again, he was great in Short Circuit.
