Adrien Brody Sucked Halle Berry's face on live television ten seconds after winning a best actor oscar. How much more can one man rule?

You know when I started disliking the guy? Way back in The Thin Red Line. His whole deer-in-the-headlights performance was so hammy and contrived I wanted to set my eyes on fire.

Does he even have a line in the movie? I think Terrence Malick was the original Brody hater. He left 90% of his scenes on the cutting room floor.

On the schnozz, taken from "Roxanne".

Let's start with... Obvious: 'scuse me, is that your nose or did a bus park on your face? Meteorological: everybody take cover, she's going to blow! Fashionable: you know, you could de-emphasize your nose if you wore something larger, like... Wyoming. Personal: well, here we are, just the three of us. Punctual: all right, Delbman, your nose was on time but YOU were fifteen minutes late! Envious: Ooooh, I wish I were you! Gosh, to be able to smell your own ear! Naughty: uh, pardon me, sir, some of the ladies have asked if you wouldn't mind putting that thing away. Philosophical: you know, it's not the size of a nose that's important, it's what's IN IT that matters. Humorous: laugh and the world laughs with you. Sneeze, and it's goodbye, Seattle! Commercial: hi, I'm Earl Scheib, and I can paint that nose for $39.95! Polite: uh, would you mind not bobbing your head? The, uh, orchestra keeps changing tempo.

Sympathetic: aw, what happened? Did your parents lose a bet with God? Complimentary: you must love the little birdies to give them this to perch on. Scientific: Say, does that thing there influence the tides? Obscure: whoa! I'd hate to see the grindstone. Well, think about it. Inquiring: when you stop to smell the flowers, are they afraid? French: saihr, ze pigs have refused to find any more truffles until you leave! Pornographic: finally, a man who can satisfy two women at once!

Religious: the Lord giveth... and He just kept on giving, didn't He? Disgusting: Say, who mows your nose hair? Paranoid: keep that guy away from my cocaine! Aromatic: it must wonderful to wake up in the morning and smell the coffee... in Brazil. Appreciative: Oooh, how original! Most people just have their teeth capped.

My fave being keep that guy away from my cocaine.
Personally, I'm an atheist in the voting booth and a theist in the movie theatre. I separate the morality of religion with the spirituality and solace of it. There is something boring about atheism.

I may be the only one here who ever played this game on an arcade machine, in a bar, drunk and eating garlic-cheese bread that made me vomit once I got home.

Perhaps just the part before the bar. I played some mean Donkey Kong, too.

Well... I was a with a you until a the vomit part, eh? Ahh, the early 80s, with a their crazy video arcades anna games... The Dino, he was a pretty good atta the Donkey Kong a too, no? I always like a the Joust though... someday, I gonna make a the movie.

I remember back inna '83, the Dino, he was a playing a the Joust against a some young putz who was a skipping a the school, eh? I kicked a his a ass inna front of a his girlfriend anna the next day, inna the same arcade, she come anna find a the Dino anna show me that she carve a my name inna her arm, so like a she show me "Dino" inna scab-scrawl. Holy crappa! Talk about a the lost souls, eh? Anyway, the funny thing, her name was a the "Dawn" anna I calla her "Dwan," but she dinna get a the reference, the goddamn putz.

True story... I swear onna my childrens' eyes, eh?

God damn! But did you play it in a bar? EDIT: Want, went, what's the diff, except everything? Sorry. My mistake.

I dropped about $13 into that Qbert machine that night, and $13 was a piece of cash for me back then.

The mention of "Joust" made me think of "Dragon's Lair," the animated video game Don Bluth put out in the early '80s. Does anyone else remember that? It was full cel animation, on a branching disc of some sort. When you made a successful move to another level, or a lethal move, the screen blanked for nearly a second and you saw the outcome, again in full animation.

I probably plugged $500 worth of quarters into "Dragon's Lair" in my day. I almost always died within the first ten moves. But I was a "Destroyer" man myself.
