Let's see how long these barrels can keep him up for!!

Fixed that link for ya. I think it's sooo cool and hilarious that he was drunk driving in the streets of Stockholm - but in a farking golf buggy!! That's the kinda thing you do as a teenager.

Plus what he was doing is harmless.

Just shows what a cool bloke and a brilliant laugh he is in real life!! That my friend, is something to be proud of!!! Who cares if he gets arrested - his fan base as well as our respect for the guy - has just sky rocketed.

No... apparantly they rode a golf buggy drunk down the halls of a Hotel. Not sure where they got it from or how they got it up to there floor, but some stories are better not explained.

That its a shame 'Billy' didn't see a need to make it. But then again, it will always be a better film in our mind's eye than any actual film would have delivered.

Did I tell anyone here that if it really came down to it, the movie character that would best sum me up would be Peter Venkam. Total loser, goof offer, couldn't give a damn, but always seems to land on his feet, win situations, and get the chic......... actually forget the last 3 parts.

But still, yeah, if I was to tell Harry what movie character I'd be like in order to make BumNat, I'd say Peter Venkman.

Bill Murray, as he showed with The Razor's Edge, has that knack of frequently creating characters who I feel I either am, or want to be.

Anyone else have this with him too?

He was friggin brilliant in Where the Buffalo Roam, a highly underrated and mostly unknown film based of some Hunter S Thompson work.

Jesus, you're gonna love it. It's out there a bit, but definately Hunter.

It's more Hunter in parts than even Fear and Loathing was, and I really liked Depp's performance in that.

The Where the Buffalo Roam characterization is closer to what I would picture when I read Hunter's work. And Bill also spent a lot of time with Hunter before and during the filming of this movie.

I think what helps Bill is he was around during the height of Hunter's popularity in print media with Rolling Stone and Sports Illustrated, so he had an unfiltered by the rosy shades of history view of Hunter and the events that shaped his rants.

I want more people to keep buying this film so that maybe they'll give it a proper DVD release and not one of the cheapie bin cardboard box releases like it's in now.

This needs a Criterion Edition or something. Or bundle it in a box set with F&L and that Breakfast with Hunter doc.

To each their own, I find it an interesting character study about a family who should be completely thrilled and successful, yet are just unbelievably lost. Then they come to terms with themselves and find a degree of happiness and acceptance.

I still think his early, funny stuff is his best. I love all his dramatic performances, though I dislike a couple of the films they are in.

But Stripes, Scrooged, Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day Quick Change the last my top 50 films actually) are real comedy genius roles and classic films as well.

Who knows about all the goings on behind the scenes in the making of Scrooged? I heard Bill Murray and Richard Donner locked horns on what they wanted and Murray might not have been keen on the finished product anyway.

Anyone enlighten me on this?

I love his old stuff, too, but to me, it seems that as he got older and started taking slightly more mature roles, he really learned how to act. Nevermind 'The Razor's Edge' - I mean Lost in Translation, Broken Flowers, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore. He showed that you don't have to be falling down or making silly faces in order to be funny. I think his role in Tenenbaums is easily as funny as anything he did back in the '80s.
