Hot Diggety Daffodil! New episodes are good so far - I find the whole 'we're Back Baby... again' vibe of the first a little confusing (yes, I know they are on Comedy Central now, that was also a gag in the first ep), but these do feel more like the good ol' fashioned Futurama ep more than the the 'feature length movies' we got last, whether you watched them in instalments or as intended. I love this show!!1!

My favourite moments so far? Amy in a gimp suit demading an orgy, and Zap and Leela in the 'Garden of Eden'.

Also, here's a good interview with David X Cohen where he discusses the movies and new eps, as well as more promises if High Definition nudity.

Just started watching. I've already laughed three times, and it's only the first commercial break. I didn't watch this show a bunch before, but I set my DVR and it looks like I'll be following along with the Rebirth.

Bender's "Coma-Chameleon" song was pretty funny.

Thursdays on comedy central at around 9:30ish. Check your local listings. I think they replay on Sunday evenings as well.

The last episode, with all its blatant harshness toward Apple and iPhones and all that was especially pleasing. They really went off on them. I'm actually surprised they got away with calling it an iPhone, even though they spelled it eyePhone.

I hate that everyone thinks they have to own one of those just because everyone else does. Made this episode more enjoyable for me.

The writing team seems to have gotten their mojo back. I liked the DVD movies a lot, but they weren't as fast paced, jokes per minute style as the series. The new season seems to be in high gear and a million laughs per minute already.

Brain Slug Chic! It's all the rage this year.

I'm a day late on this, but Comedy Central is doing a two-part marathon of season 5 this weekend. They aired half the episodes last night and are airing the other half tonight, so uhh... be on the lookout, or whatever...

I finally got around to watching season 5 a couple months ago. Despite one or two episodes that felt flat to me I was pleasantly surprised by its quality

I don't know if anybody else here has been watching Futurama this year, but the last episode (possibly EVER, again) aired last week. It was a strong end to a solid season -- the same story told three times with different styles of animation. If you live somewhere they don't air new Futurama, I would heartily endorse "finding" it online.

It was also a double ep too, right? or at least I got to the last two 'Overclockwise' and 'Reincarnation' on itunes together and it seems they played one after the other on local cable. The styles, from Steamboat Willie, to Nintendo to Cowboy Be Bop, gave the episode an 'Anthology of Interest' kinda feel that I loved (sort of reminds me of the Tree House of Horror thing The Simpsons does as Halloween specials, which are amongst my favorites from that show too). But don't quote me on any of this, I have to watch them a few more times...

Fear not, Futuramaites, they show has been renewed for a new (split) season seven.
