That was pretty good. The Glenn Beck Cartman show titles...Dances With Smurfs..."Just asking questions"....

It's amazing after all of these years that South Park can still make me say "whoa, I can't believe they did that..." but the beginning of the show where the third grader gets murdered over the loudspeaker for some reason made me go  . Of course, it was immediately followed by     , and then by  when I realized I was laughing at the idea of an innocent 3rd grader getting his head blown off.

I can't believe how great this show still is after all of these years.

I thought it was quite funny. I know they've covered Emmerick material before but I really enjoyed Cartman's song and his little sections.

Kyles reaction to people answering him about pee was very funny.

Truth is Nick, we were spoiled with some fantastic episodes this season. If we were to watch this one as the first in a season we'd all be pretty happy that it would be off to a good start.

Heck yeah! They'll probably keep him as morning announcer... No doubt Cartman will be at least mildly pissed every time he hears his buttery smooth voice. Hopefully he'll think of a way to exploit him with a pirate radio show or something... Lotta potential there (hint-hint Matt and Trey!)

Only watched the first season 14 episode, but I was kind of let down.

As satire it was pretty mediocre and as comedy it was flat throughout.

South Parks first 'League Of Super Friends' episode, featuring an uncensored image of Mohammed, aired in July 2001 - and we all know what happened later that year... since then the more twitchy muslims seem to take any slight slight way out of proportion.

But hey, thats religion for you - but not all of them, unless crazy people from other religions decide to jump on the bandwagon and hit out people for deriding their deities.

South Park has had Jesus stabbing and shooting people... Bhudda snorting coke off of a desk... and pretty much taken the piss out of all the rest as well.

Well done to the boys for trying to highlight the sheer stupidity of extremists - just hope they continue to push the envelope unmolested.

None of the bleeping featured in the episode "201" was intentional. The only intentional censoring done by Matt and Trey were the black 'censored' bars on Muhammed and, later, Tom Cruise. Matt and Trey released this statement earlier today:

"In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it."

Comedy Central, you are a bunch of fucking cowards.

All this aside, I enjoyed the episode and loved the references to The Killing Joke.

Were Comedy Central wrong to censor it? Yeah.

But let's not forget that NO other network or TV channel would even MENTION Mohamed in this day and age. Let alone rip the piss out of him, and other religious deities. Comedy Central made a mistake, but fucking cowards? They aired the episode. Who else would even air the thing? Most places would bung on a repeat, throw out a hasty apology, and go into PR mode.

The thing that angers me the most, is that the group of assfucks that made the threats are BASED OUT OF NEW YORK! If something did happen to matt and trey, do they really think that the police are not going to saunter up to their office and start some shit?

i wonder when we get to see an episode parodying people who are in such a rush to make tv shows so that they can make lots of money making fun of others/material without actually taking the time to know the source material they are mocking and instead rip off the ideas of people who aren't even getting paid to use instead...

"It seems like cartoon honchos Matt Stone & Trey Parker slipped on a banana peel in their rush to make a South Park video spoof of Inception. According to reports, their video titled Insheeption "accidentally" lifted lines from a live-action parody video on CollegeHumor.com.

How does that happen, exactly?

Haste makes waste, or at least leads to egg on your face.

"It's just because we do the show in six days, and we're stupid and we just threw it together," Stone told the New York Times. "But in the end, there are some lines that we had to call and apologize for."

Reportedly, when the South Park guys couldn't find a theater showing Inception or get a hold of a DVD copy, they hit the Web searching for raw material and found the CollegeHumor video ("Inception Characters Don't Understand Inception").

For instance, in both skits, a character says, "Sometimes my thoughts of my dead wife manifest themselves as trains."

The writers of the CollegeHumor piece are taking it all in stride, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Dan Gurewitch, who wrote the CollegeHumor piece with David Young, blogged Friday that Stone was "extremely nice and apologetic" and that there were no hard feelings. "All is well, and we're going to meet with Matt and Trey when they're in New York."

So maybe it was all just a dream after all."

oh, they apologized. i guess that makes them immune to the whole "we make fun of everybody and that is where get our integrity".....

I'm not upset about it... I think it is funny. It doesn't really matter anyway. Inception, Dreamscape, Nightmare on Elm Street... it was a mesh of all that anyway. Pissing off other film makers is small compared to pissing off ethnic groups. I've liked most of this season... it's been pretty funny. (Much better than the season with Satan and Saddam, that shit was boring and got old really quick)
