Broken Saints... why?

Has anyone else seen this 12 hour anime-wannabe flash webtoon? I'm at a loss. It's received amazing reviews, but I just can't get past the fact that it....well, sucks so hard it leaves friction burns.

Anyone else? God, please tell me I'm not alone.

Have to agree...Broken Saints sucks...the worst part is that TeleFilm Canada threw them about a mil to keep working on it...and transfer it to DVD.

12 hours? Did you sit through it all? Only operas and Das Boot can be that long and still be good.

I heard about the telefilm money. What baffles me are the cries of "brilliant" that are thrown at this thing. For all those who haven't seen it, let me distill the story/message for you (lest you ever have the inkling to seek it out).

America is evil. Corporations, also evil. American corporations...REALLY evil. But all you need is love (and to be crucified to a pile of televisions) in order to save everyone from the materialistic, American tyrants.

Oh...and did we mention America is evil?

*sigh* Oh, Canada.....

And yes, I sat through the whole 12 hours. Had to watch it for work. See if it was a viable property. Thank god I got paid.

But they're putting it on dvd now (which is how I watched it), so I don't know if the webisodes are still there.

A friend tried to foist the DVDs on me. I fell asleep after the third episode.

The whole thing was way too emo-goth for me, basically a bunch of "look-how-hard-I'm-trying-to-seem-like-I'm-not-trying-to-be-cool" wankery.
