This does indeed suck. The show has gotten much better over the years and while it still has its quirks, they've become tolerable.

I suspect the show has been cancelled for the same reason X-Men and Spider-Man were canned in the 90's - pure business. After 5 seasons, they have enough episodes produced that they can rerun them again and again without too much repetition. It makes more business sense to rerun episodes you already own than to spend money producing new ones only to gain a few more viewers.

cartoon network obviously didn't cancel this show because it's terrible. for detailed proof of my theory, go here:

I thought it was okay. What you guys have to understand is that it was being made for a different audience. You wouldn't really be expected to love "Krypto" -- neither would the kids "Teen Titans" is aimed at, for that matter -- and if "Teen Titans" seemed a little juvenile, well, that's because it was aimed at juveniles. As far as that goes, I think it was pretty well-executed. Almost every episode I saw (which admittedly is probably like 6) tackled issues that had to do with friendship and family, it was consistently funny, and the animation was boss. I don't know exactly why they canceled it -- about to click on Milton's link to see if that illuminates any details -- but it had a good run.

ETA: Oh, it's a Quicktime thing. For some reason the connection breaks on my comp. Eh well.

I never got into it myself but I find that Cartoon Network have a history of cancelling or suddenly stopping some shows that are really popular for no feasable reason. Look what happened thith DBZ, ut was their highest ever rated show abd they just let it peater out and die, and its never on any more

I wouldn't mind betting that the final episode will involve the Titans dropping their teen characters and evolving into ones which can transplanted into Justice League stories.

Uh what?? DBZ wasn't something they produced it was just a syndicated redubbed anime. They showed the entire run of the show. Hell they even showed the GT episodes.

- Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, "Good Wilt Hunting": For the first time ever, the creators of favorite imaginary friends will be revealed. At the Foster's picnic, creators of imaginary friends visit their old pals. The girl who created Eduardo returns, as do the scientists who studied Coco, but Wilt's creator never arrives. Wilt searches for answers while the Foster's crew follows behind on his journey. The 60-minute movie will air in late fall.

- Teen Titans Tokyo: America's coolest heroes head to Japan in their first animated movie, Teen Titans Tokyo, airing in late fall. When a high-tech ninja attacks Titans Tower, Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Raven and Beast Boy spring into action. Robin finds out that the ninja was sent by a mysterious and menacing Japanese criminal known as Brushogun, and the Teen Titans travel to Tokyo to track the villain down.

Now if only CC would make a Samurai Jack movie.

^Damnit, yeah, Jack never got closure, that last episode with the baby pissed me off almost as much as when I saw the final season of Dexter's Lab.

God damnit, Tetravosky, you don't mess with a good formula... just look at post-movie Rugrats (Christ, talk about a cartoon that should be cancelled immediately. Klasky Csupo is f*cking up... just make some new episodes of Duckman and regenerate some fans.)

Not only that, but they announced at SDCC that, as part of a three-movie deal at Warner Home Video, they're adapting Teen Titans: The Judas Contract into a direct-to-DVD movie produced by Marv Wolfman. All three will be PG-13, produced by Bruce Timm, and aimed more toward the adult market. The other two will be adaptations of New Frontier and Superman: Doomsday.

The Teen Titans cartoon did indeed suck. Teen Titans the COMIC BOOK kicked ass when it was written by Marv Wolfman, and penciled by George Perez. All the humans looked gorgeous (esp Starfire) and the writing was intelligent and pulpy and fun. Had the best story arc involving Tara and Deathstroke. I miss that comic, back when it was good.

The Teen Titans are in trouble.

Marv Wolfman, one of the screenplay writers for the direct-to-video Teen Titans: The Judas Contract animated feature, has confirmed the DC Universe Animated Movie is currently on hold.

Wolfman has confirmed the reports appearing online stating the movie is currently on hold because, according to Warner Home Video, there may not be enough of an audience for a Teen Titans: The Judas Contract animated feature to be successful.

Wolfman continues, saying that fans should contact Warner Home Video to let them know of the demand for a Teen Titans: The Judas Contract animated feature. Below is the contact information to send your thoughts and concerns regarding the future of the Teen Titans: The Judas Contract direct-to-video animated feature.

Teen Titans Go! Joining DC Nation
Kevin Melrose wrote:More than six years after the end of Cartoon Network’s popular Teen Titans animated series, the team will return in a new half-hour show as part of the cable channel’s DC Nation programming block.

Debuting in 2013, Teen Titans Go! feature the all-new comedic adventures of Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and Cyborg, who now appear in chibi form in a series of well-received shorts airing on DC Nation. Like those “New Teen Titans” shorts, the show will employ a super-deformed style and feature the voices of original cast members Scott Menville, Hynden Walch, Khary Payton, Greg Cipes and Tara Strong. Here’s the official description:

Character-driven comedy is the order of the day as this new take on the super hero series focuses on the funny business that happens between saving the world and living together as teenagers without adult supervision. They may be super heroes who save the world every day … but somebody still has to do the laundry! With the ability to turn into any animal or detach their robotic limbs, teenage pranks reach a whole new level. And even super heroes have to take Driver’s Ed. to get a license – especially after wrecking the Batmobile on an unauthorized joy ride to impress a girl!

DC Nation, which airs Saturdays at 10 a.m. ET/PT, is currently anchored by Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice. The CG-animated Beware the Batman is expected tto be added to the lineup later this year. Teen Titans Go! is executive produced by Sam Register (Green Lantern: The Animated Series, The Looney Tunes Show, Teen Titans), with Michael Jelenic (ThunderCats, Batman: The Brave and the Bold) and Aaron Horvath (MAD, El Tigre) as producers.
