Well, okay, let's just pretend this is real life. If you ran into a cyclops on the street, I don't care how nice her body is or how soft and purple her hair is, your first thought wouldn't be "Whoa... she is so hot..."

Yay, saw Celebrity BB. Having issues though - not sure Barrymore is morally right, given those murky cuircumstances...but I wasn't there so benefit of the doubt and all that. did anyone see Preston snub Paul with a quick "yeh, I know who you are alright...". Glad of galloway - though I'd never have imagined I'd say those words in that order b4. He'll shake it up - but don't know what his constituents think of him larking off for 3 weeks. Gues if he wins he'll build a shelter for homeless or something, which bails him out of it...just.

Their are so many episodes\lines of this series I love.

Bender charges in and grabs Fry's beer and whips it at the TV,
Fry: "Now what am I gonna watch and drink all day!"

A Pharoh to remeber, after the Pharoh's death:
Bender (sobing): "He's whipping angel's in heaven now"

The Slurm factory episode:
The Professor: "What are those horrible creatures?"
Worm: "There the Umpa Lumpa's."
The Professor: "Tell them I hate them!"

For once being in the UK was an advantage - when it came to Futurama we all had a pretty good heads-up and it got put on a decent time slot - though I never really got how it passed so many by - Sci-fi and the new Toon by the team that brought us The Simpsons - what more do you need to know! Who cares whether its on Sunday evening, Monday morning or whatever - tape it, watch it! Aye Carumba! :D

So, before I get too lofty, I reveal my shame - last night I finished watching the Commentaries for every single goddamn episode. Perhapos I should be on the Geek Cred thread huh? 8)

There's a cool Easter Egg on Season Four where the writer for the Trek homage reveals the deal clincher for getting Shatner on board was getting Nimoy first - otherwise he wasn't going to do it. He wasn't rude about it - just felt he'd done "funny" with the whole "Get a life" convention a few years earlier.

Then, come the day, Nimoy turns up and deadpans "Is Shatner here yet?" "No? Good - lets get my lines done so I can leave before he gets here" - and nobody realised he was joking - they shat their pants at the possibility of Bill turning up and there being no Nimoy!

Brilliant. In the first ever episode, when Fry has his accident, if you look for it you can see Nibblers shadow from under the desk. In another episode - either 80's man or Luck of the Fryish I think - whichever one next revisits the genesis, you can then see Nibblers third eye popping out the wastepaper bin........

Ive been in a Futrama mood and hitting all my favorite episodes. Right now Im watchin "Where no fan has gone before" WELSHIE!!

Im trying to remember episodes that involve the Neutrals. The only one I can think of is "Brannigan, begin again" but I know there are more and one that is Neutral centric. Episode descriptions arent helping my memory. Help me out!

Hmmm, not sure. The only episode with the Neutrals that I can think of is the one where Brannigan is dishonorably discharged from DOOP, but I'm not even sure I've seen all of season 4, so I'm probably not the most reliable source as far as that goes.

What's your favorite episode bamf?

Damn you Ribbons, what a evil question. Godfellas is definitly at the top of the list, Ill refrain from descriptions but Ill drop a line in "Daddy, my arms are to tired from hugging!" "When you write the bible, you probably should leave that part out.." "If you want anything done you have to do it yourself, god pretty much told me himself!"

I really like those eps with heart like "The Sting". "Luck of the Fry-rish" and "Time keeps on slippin"

Anything with the Zapper is golden, "Shes built like a steakhouse, but handles like a bistro!"

And then theres the big one, the one I avoid watching. If you are familiar with the series then you probably know the one I speak of. Last thanksgiving I was having dinner with my family and we were talking about animation. I think adultswim had come up and I was trying to explain to them how animation wasnt just Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd anymore. There are powerful stories being told in this medium now (The Boondocks:The Passion of Revend Ruckus anyone?). Well they were scoffing at me. So I told them very arrogantly that I could show them one 22 minute episode that would have them in tears by the end. More scoffing ensued. My place was close by so I ran and picked up season 4 and played "Jurrasic Bark" with no preamble. Family members crying by the end, 8 out of 8. And then it was time for pie.

And you?

haha, yeah... I realized after I asked that question that it can be quite diabolical. I'm not sure I'd like to have it asked of myself, really. But since you were nice enough to play along, I'll try to answer in kind.

Let's see... well, like you said, anything with the Zapper is golden (my custom rank was The Velour Fog for a while  ).

I'll have to look through all the episodes again and give you a (possibly) updated list, but the one that's coming to mind right now is "Luck of the Fry-rish." It's definitely up there in terms of episodes I re-watch the most. A lot of juicy stuff on display in that episode, and a perfect blend of humor and melancholy. Best moment is when Fry's mourning the loss of his family and Bender pops up with his nephew's exhumed wedding ring ("Sorry ladies, I'm taken!").

I'm pretty fond of the last eppie (two words: Hedonism Bot), as well as the one where Fry is shipped off to a mental institution and comes out thinking he's a robot. The one with the "space honey" (EDIT: "The Sting"?) is one I admire a lot, and it was a real trip to watch the first time around, but it doesn't have a whole lot of replay value.

I kinda like the Valentine's Day episode where the Planet Express ship falls in love with Bender, but mostly for the line "This concept of 'wuv' confuses and INFURIATES us!!"
