That looks really bad, I wonder if this will turn out to be a fake?

To be fair that is almost what they looked like in the original comics.

HATE HATE HATE.

Is this the playa haters ball?

I think that's a cool image. There was the animated series, and 3 films, and this new one has still found a way to feel fresh. It sort of has an anime feel to it. It deserves props for not feeling rehashed at the very least.

I'd be happy to get proven wrong when this one hits the screen, Nacho. That IS a cool image...if we're talking about a game. It just doesn't look like a movie still, in my opinion. Hopefully they get it cleaned up before release, but I've got a bad vibe from this slop-ass presentation.

Seriously, they're about twelve years too late with this beat-off anyway. What a fuckin' waste of time.

It definitely has a stylized look, and it does resemble the original Eastman and Laird comics. It also resembles "The Boondocks." Riley finally gets his ninja on.

Haha, good call Dennis!

It doesn't look so bad. It's going to be an all CGI film, and obviously not a very costly one. So, what do they need to go photorealistic for?

OOOoohhh....it's ALL CGI.

See, here I was thinkin' it was gonna be CGI Turtles with live actors and sets.

Now I feel like a dickhead.

But I still think they're about a decade too late on this. If they wanna turn a profit, it'd BETTER not be very costly....

Personally I would much rather see a movie based on Punisher Ripoff Casey Jones, the Idea might have been stolen/borrowed but there is something about a vigilante who uses sporting goods to beat people up that just rocks my boat bigtime, Elias Koteas ruled in the first movie..

I think there was a new Cartoon that went back to the style of the comics and is still popular with the Bambino's today, maybe not as big as when we were teens but I still think they will make a killing at the Box Office if they do this right, how many young Dads would rather take their kids to see this over say Ice Age 2? If they can get the geek crowd going too they will be laughing.

I, too, was thinking "that is shit" until I realised that it's an all-CGI movie. There's defintely more scope to try something different, in that case. Some of the original comics were fucking badass - and some of the guest artwork was also incredible, as far as I can recall.

It seems pretty obvious that isn't the final rendition of what the CGI characters would look like in the film. Even 'they' would know it'd look lame.

The press releases and the poster look more orientated towards getting industry interest.

i used to mark out big time for the turtles when i was in junior high. maybe if this flick does stick a little closer to the tone and feel of the original eastman and laird books, it could be pretty cool.

this looks much, much betetr than the proposed 2001 CGI pilot.

Before the new series came out they were hawking a CGI versiona round town, but no one bought into it..

HEre's a look at what COULD have been

Take a look at some Pictures and download the CGI Pilot if you wish...

I promise you that there is no possible way that pic is representative of what the film will look like... no matter what. That isn't even close. This is like those rough draft shots behind the scenes on the new Star Wars dvds. Forget the slightest possibility that this is what the film will be like. I design games and this isn't even close to film quality... nobody who makes 3d would make the mistake of thinking they could make a film, besides maybe a veggie tales direct to dvd, out of a models textured like this. It's just not possible. It's as impossible that this is for film as it is possible that Harry will be replacing bruce willis in the next die hard movie... unless maaaaayyyyybbbeeee this is a pic of a direct to dvd film... but the franchise is dead if this is.

Turtles to Perdition

Its not really all that funny or clever, but when it really starts cutting like an actual trailer, and that music kicks in, I'm still not digging the joke, but god damn it, I'm just reminded how much I loved that first TMNT movie. I don't care what anyone says, that was quality entertainment. I want this movie, none of this CGI stuff. I want Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to be saved from its Schumaker-esque sequels. I want Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Begins! Directed by Sam Mendes. DO IT!

Now I'll calm down, anyways, also found some rough footage from the upcoming movie, looks like pre-vis stuff, but they got the voice dubs worked in so its worth a peak:

Early CGI?

I wouldn't be too hard on it yet. It depends on what the style of the animation is like. Is this adaptation going to be more like the original comic books? Of course, the first live action film was fairly faithful to those, and it sucked... who am I kidding, I don't care about this franchise. Next.
