Thankyou Nik, I've been trying to find the name of this film for years, I remember it fondly but over here in the UK it slipped away into obscurity never to be seen again.

A complete Starwars Ripoff but I remember it having Swearing, harsh Violence and Nudity even maybe?

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Wow! That's a blast from the past!

I really liked it when I was a kid too, but I always
liked anime more. For instance, as fun as this was,
I was way more psyched about watching STAR BLAZERS
and ROBOTECH...

This was in 3D?

Shit we missed out there didn't we, I'd kill insects to see this in 3D, it makes sense now why there were so many punches and lasers aimed towards the screen, it didn't even get a Cinema Release here, I remember first seeing it advertised on the VHS for House.

As for Rock & Rule, well I didn't recognise the name at first but when I went to this site it did jar some memories long forgotten.

i have actually seen on ebay bootleg transfers of both starchaser and rock and role with the 3d and standard versions on there i have been tempted to pick one up just to see Starchaser in it's true 3d Glory ive got a home cinema set up so i think it will look the dogs bollocks on that well i can only hope.

also Jeff Scott the guy who wrote starchaser has his own website ive emailed him a few times about the flick he allways replies a really nice guy a few years back he did say that oneday he would try get the script online but i spose it all depends on how much of a fan of the movie you are hehe http://users.adelphia.net/~getjeffrey/Home.htm

Thats right. I think the space ships were computer rendered or something.

In a way, TRON is really is the first blend of animation and early CG...
(but that included live action as well, so i suppose thats different...)

I watched that when I was younger.

Don't Dig up, hell is up...

It was on showtime not too long ago and my kids watched it. And there is no nudity it is more of a kids movie.

it is a kids movie the only reason it got a PG rating was cos some light swearing i think SHIT is used a couple of times and THere is somthing to do with the way the robot maid looks

I always wanted to see this movie, the trailer was on so many videos my parents rented, but this was never in any of our video stores. I think with us having a betamax didnt help :(

Is this the one where the main character is stuck in a bubble at the tip of some crazy organic plant looking contraption? The pics aren't coming through here at work so I can't tell. The title rings zero bells for me...
