Does anybody have any 'old school' cartoons that just dont come on anymore, and most people dont even seem to remember? :(

Well I used to watch this cartoon called 'Transor Z' and everytime I ask someone about it, they never seem to remember.

Does anybody have any info on this old school toon?

Oi'm about t' pimp me own thread here, but iffin' it's old school cartoons that ye be looking to parlay on, r8, ye might get a kick out of this thread about Nicktoons.

As for some other ones? Hmm... arrgh! Patience, ye scallawags! I definitely know some, but none are coming to mind at the moment.

"Pirates of the Dark Water"?

"Silverhawks" was far superior to its Rankin-Bass cousin, "ThunderCats."

Wings of silver, sucka. Nerves of steel.

Johnny Quest?

Too Stone Age School?

It was great, though.
Loved the spider-robot.

Jayce and the wheeled warriors ("Keep on rolling" song...yes!)
Ulysses 31
Dogtanion and the mustakhounds
Count Duckula
Trapdoor
Pole position
smurfs
Chip n Dale: Rescue Rangers
Wuzzles
Gummi bears
G-force (or battle of the planets as its called in some countries)
Mazinger Z (oh hell yeah!)
Mask
Visionaries
TRANSFORMERS (but I suppose that goes without saying)
....to name but a few missing from this list.

Anyone remember Watoo Watoo: Superbird?

Couldn't find a version in English, but this will jog your memory if you've ever seen it.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=aRBfp40wW-Y

I also like Centurions, which had a kind of Iron Man thing going on. The 3 guys in it had great names as well. Max Ray, Jake Rockwell and Ace McCloud.

Gimme Wild Weasel!

I had a thing for Jayce from "Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors" as a girl...which explains why I have a thing for anime bishies...

But as a girl, I liked "Beverly Hills Teens", "Wildfire", "Muppet Babies", "Hello Kitty's Furry Tail Theater" (With Tara Charendoff-Strong as Kitty) and "She-Ra".

Other ones I liked were "Centurions", "The Real Ghostbusters" and the anime fairy tales Saban dubbed for Nickelodeon.

Anyone remember the feature length version of The Racoons cartoon?

From what little I can recall it was mostly a criticism of the Cold War and the industrial/military complex. Honestly.

Oh, this is easy.

Bravestarr. "They needed a THOUSAND lawmen... they got one. He was enough."

Thundarr The Barbarian. Ookla the Mok. 'nuff said.

Spiral Zone. Fucking CLASSIC underrated goodness (and whenever all the drunk guys get together at parties and talk about stuff from when they were kids, they never remember it. Earn geek points by tossing this one out).

Inhumanoids. D'COMPOSE!!! And the two magma guys whose whole purpose was to hold that one bad guy in an energy cell? Sweetness!

Mister T. With a bunch of acrobats.

Dungeons & Dragons. "It's the Dungeons and Dragons ride!"

Captain Power. "POWER ON!" Not to mention some of the greatest toys ever.

And last but not least, every late-20's guy's first foray into sexuality...

JEM! Jem is excitement, OOOOOoooooooooh Jem! Music and glitter, fashion and fame! Jem is my name! JEM!

I suck.

Shall I mention…

Widget the World Watcher....

or maybe...

Captain Planet, he's our hero,
Gonna take pollution down to zero,
He's our powers magnified,
And he's fighting on the planet side

Captain Planet, he's our hero,
Gonna take pollution down to zero,
Gonna help him put us under,
Bad guys who like to loot and plunder

"You'll pay for this Captain Planet!"

(all of the gang)
We're the planeteers,
You can be one too!
'Cause saving our planet is the thing to do,
Looting and polluting is not the way,
Hear what Captain Planet has to say:

"THE POWER IS YOURS!!"

And that was from memory! And the lyrics are by Phil Collins…

Now I suck....

I liked "Galaxy High" a lot. Did you know John "Ren & Stimpy" Kricfalusi worked on that show?

"Gravedale High," not so much. "Drak Pack" was far superior.

Defenders of the Earth. Never saw as many of these as I wanted due to stoopid paper round.

now are you talking about the first groovie goolies, with Sabrina the Teenage Witch, the second, where it was all about them, or are you talking about the third, anthological groovie goolies, where the goolies were exclusive to host segments, where they introduced lesser cartoons, including "Fraidy Cat" "Wacky & Packy" and animated versions of "Gilligan's Island", "My Favorite Martian", and "Lassie"?

Fractured Fairy Tales was part of that show. Damn, that was hysterical. Always ended with a pun on the classis ending ie: 'and they lived snappily ever after'.

Remember Mr. Peabody's really bad puns? Ah, I miss the wee white one...
