True, however, the insect-glove-transport with battery operated wings was tits. Most of the 80's toons I loved were nothing but ads for Hasbro or Kenner, but fuck it; the bug-mitt was hot.
Captain Power I always found a little suspect; never had the gear, and the show was crap.
Inhumanoids - have to try and find an episode, see what's going on there.
Anyone ever catch The Secret Railroad? It was produced in Quebec, and the French version was called
Les Voyages du tortillard . This show was seriously tripped out, kind of a Yellow Submarine type thing happening. It aired on TVO and Global in the early to mid 70s.
This kid Simon goes into the creepy ass-basement of his slum apartment every night, and some kind of pan-dimensional Railcar comes through and picks him up, and the episode has begun.
The Kid and this old man, Mr. Passenger, go on these fucked quests, voyages, trips…whatever; it ruled. Mr. Passenger had a cat, Melanie, and the Kid had this girlfriend in the other dimensions, chick with an afro shaped like a star.
